Big Splash : Refugee Camp {Open}

As the camp came into view, Noctis was speechless. He knew this wasn't here before. Had Claire and Bucky created this by themselves? If so, where did they find the time to do this? Baffled was the least that Noctis was. Surprised, terrified. Those were the right words for it. What were ?these people? How were they so powerful.

''Claire, I want you to train me," Noct said as he took a seat next to her. ''I want you to make me stronger than I already am.... I need to protect those who are close to me. I need to be ready for when that man returns...." Noctis kept the same serious expression he had on his face since he had met her.

He felt a grand need to be faster and stronger. He'd go through whatever training he needed.... Even if he meant he'd have to be turned into some sort of monster. He wanted to protect people and he vowed to himself that he would no matter the cost.

Claire was already sitting next Ruru as Noctis sat next to her, she turned to him, her expression studying his, tempted by the idea but not quite as much as she'd hope for. "I don't think that man will return to finish off the witnesses though." Claire started, sipping tea from a wooden cup. "I will train you though, but i can't make sure you'll survive it." she continued, she knew that even with her warning, he wouldn't change his mind-set, she just had to show him that what he's asking for is a suicide mission.

Ruru just sat there waiting for the questions to come, she knew that they would ask her eventually.

Noctis nodded. ''I think I'll surprise you, Claire.... Don't underestimate me based on the fact that I'm a mere human. I want to learn from you. You're probably the strongest person in this room right now. I don't know why, but I can feel your power. It's a crushing feeling. It'd be an honor to learn from you and your years of experience in combat." Noctis smiled at her. He was happy that she had said yes to his request. Now he just wanted to get through with the questions and to advance to the training. He couldn't wait to train with her. He would become much stronger. He could feel it.

The ambiance wasn't very joyful. It was gloomy and unhappy. Everyone had a serious expression on their face. The night was a scary one, no doubt.

''So, who exactly was that man over there? His power was so powerful... I felt like my bones were going to be crushed just by his mere presence," Noct said with earnest curiosity painted on his soot-covered face.

Claire had a smile carved on her perfect little face, turning to Noctis and wanting to reply to his question, but she held her tongue this time giving Ruru the opportunity to explain things.

"Do I seem more human to you now?" Ruru asked before explaining anything to Noctis, the gigai shouldve hidden her spiritual pressure, and made the surge similar to a humans, any human could see her easily now, but it wouldnt make a difference to them, she just wanted to know if they understood what she was.

"That man and I, were no longer of the living." She started.

"This may sound crazy to anyone, but we've died some time ago, and maybe time made us lose or minds..." It took her a long pause before continuing again. Sanba was once a sane Shinigami much like her, but she's never been this serious her entire life as one.

"But were not regular souls, we have unique abilities." Ruru placed her zanpakuto on the table and continued. "This katana may look old and rusty, but it's no normal one, in the hands of a shinigami, it's a lethal weapon."

It was hard to explain to a human how this and that works without going through everything, or simply just showing them to ease them from all the thinking, but she couldnt do that without the dire need to.

"Claire is something else entirely, more like the worst version of our selves." Ruru explained and Claire could only smirk from her sit, it was the truth anyway. "Our kind are the ones who protect souls... Claire's kind on the other hand... Devours them."

''The mass of the pressure has certainly gone down, but feeling it is still easy. It is clear that you have masked it, however." Noctis nodded as he scratched his rather confused head. ''Bucky, if Claire does what you try to defeat, then why do you two appear to be friends? You two don't seem very hostile towards each other."

Noctis smiled at the rest of her explanation. ''I understand what you are saying, Bucky. It sounds to me like you guys play the role of Death," Noct said with a smirk. It all sounded very confusing at first, but it began to come together as he was able to connect the pieces. Despite Noctis realizing how dangerous they were, he didn't feel like his life was at danger. He felt as if he was safe with them. He didn't know if he should be on his guard or not, but he had let it down this entire time. Were they friends or enemies?

"Were not friends." Claire answered this time, her voice cute and musical. "If you haven't noticed, this world is falling apart. I'm here to stop that from happening, but we don't have the same motivation." Claire crushed one of her cards and a small stick figure fell out from the puff of small smoke the crushing had made. The stick figure then danced around the table like a toy. "Human souls no longer quench my thirst, nor ease my hunger for more power, I eat my own kind now." she explained while playing with the figure with her left pinky. "My kind doesn't care much about this world, but I have learned to love this place. And Sanba..." She paused for a moment then continued. "Is the cause of all this... I'm here to kill him, even if it means having to protect humans and work with shinigami for the time being."

Claire then crawled off from her seat leaning towards Noctis then placed her head on his chest. "Tell me, do you sense anything different from me when i go near you like this?" She listened to his heart beat. "Nothing right?" she asked, then returned to her seat. "I dont look like a monster either do I?" she flexed her arms and wiggled her fingers. "I can control my self, and with that control came my shinigami like appearance, but theirs a twist." She removed her eye patch showing the hollow hole visible on her right eye. "We have a hollow hole, making us incomplete, and a mask remnant that's a permanent fixture on our body."

Noctis was shocked when she put her head on his chest. He held an expressionless look on his face when she had did it. He was surprised, scared, and even a little flustered. "N-No.... I don't," Noct said with worry. The whole thing had spooked him a bit. It sounded like something out of a horror film. Was this actually happening to him?

''Uh-huh..... What made you have a change of heart about my world, Claire? Did you suddenly grow to have compassion for the human race or could we simply no longer fill your thirst?" Noct asked with genuine curiosity. He wanted to know this. He wasn't just acting to be rude.

Noctis pulled his view up to see the strange looking man. ''Hell.... Hell is exactly what is going on. You wanna go into specifics? Pull out a chair and sit down. I'm sure Claire and Ms. Bucky here will be more than happy to answer your questions. But first, how about you answer one of mine. What are you?"

He looked human but he couldn't be sure. Was he in this ''gigai" form that the girls were talking about before? Was he a Fullbring? Was he human? Was he something else entirely? Noctis was concerned. The last thing that they needed was more enemies.

[Mind if I jump in?]

Izaya walked into the camp without a care in the world and smiled. He was happy to see all of them together again. He wasn't there to help. But to see if he can learn more about this whole thing. "Yo wassup everybody!"

"Chiruka, Claire, Waka, Izaya." Kyouga calmly greeted them all before he sat down and awaited for what was going to happen next. Of coarse, this was the first time Ruru had come into contact with Kyouga since she had become a Shinigami.

Noctis teleported behind Kyouga and held his arms behind is back before he let go only seconds later. ''I do apologize for that, whoever you are. It was a twitch. It's been a real strange day and any disturbance is a cause for action. Surely, you understand." Noctis quietly sat down in his chair next to Claire before introducing himself to the man. ''Name is Noctis. Noct for short. Yours is?"

"Kyouga Minamoto-Yukimura. Please refrain from doing that Noctis, it is a bit annoying." Kyouga replied with a hint of frustration in his tone. "I see that you have met my sister, Chiruka aka Ruru." he added more calmly.

''I hope we won't be having any problems." Noctis said with a sneer. ''Ruru? She told us her name was Bucky. Why would she lie to us about that?" Noctis was concerned. He felt confused and idiotic for believing something that he knew was wrong from the beginning. It was something extremely miniscule, yet it bothered him so much.

Claire shrugged upon the arrival of others, she already forgot the question and was now minding her own business. She was weary of the fact that special humans were flooding the place like ants who saw a drop of food, she was worried that the camp was no longer enough to accommodate everyone. Claire instantly flew out from her chair jumping Kyouga before he could do anything about it. "KOU-CHAN!" she yelped hugging him like her own personal teddy bear.

Ruru could only watch the chaos happening around her, her concern pretty much like Claire's. Just how many people are still out there, and what other catastrophe's were happening while she was explaining things to them, she was running out of time.

"I may be leaving soon." she explained to them and ignoring all the small talks that have occurred, she even heard her real name being said, but she let it all pass.

"So remember what I say, and spread the word to whoever may ask.

The tragedies will end, but it won't be pleasant. Humans will live, but those who survive will have a harder and more punishing life.

But let's not hope on that... "

Ruru paused for a while, taking her zanpakuto back, and placing it safe on her sash.

"I will try and stop this... I will go find Sanba again."

She decided in a very final tone, and by the looks of it, she wasn't gonna accept any help from them. This was her war with him, and she doesn't want anyone else involved. For her, help wont be help, but liability. There lives depended on her success, and there help would only hinder her from doing so.

Ofcourse by all this, she didn't mean the Espada who were equally aware of there strengths, but she'd hoped they wont meddle as well, she didn't know how to handle them, they were enemies after all, even though her living world brother exists as one.

Noctis understood the finality of Bucky's tone. She wanted to face this Sanba man alone. She wanted to carry the burden on her own. She blamed everything that was happening on herself and carried all of the weight on her shoulders. He could see that she would fight him and finish him even if it meant her life. All Noctis could do is wish her the best and hope that she return alive.

''Bucky.... Be careful. Don't get yourself murdered." Noctis smiled at her. This was goodbye.... But he felt like it wasn't the end. No, he knew it wasn't the end. He'd see her again one way or another.

"That's highly unlikely." Ruru responded with a more than natural smile on her lips, this time, she was just greatful they understood. "How can you murder the dead anyway?" Ruru then stood up and bowed to all of them. "I'll never forget this, it was an honor meeting you all." she stood straight again, turned to her right and disappeared to the window. She was gone.


Claire then grabbed Noctis's right shoulder, standing up from tackling Kyouga. "So, how do you feel about you getting murdered?" She concentrated a small amount of her reiatsu on her fingers, making him feel the chill of what he asked for. She gave him a grin, chuckling to her self.

Noctis's body shook. Still, he managed to muster a smile to Claire. ''If being murdered is what it takes than so be it. I'm ready for it, Claire." Noctis stood up and stared down at Claire. He towered over her. How could something so powerful be in such a small body? He laughed at the thought of it before smuggling it . He must have looked incredibly rude to her. He couldn't wait to get his training with Claire underway. He knew that he would most likely go through many hardships during their training, but it seemed incredibly necessary.

Claire chuckled and shuffled her cards, in front of her two cards popped out, she crushed the two in half a second. At first nothing happened, then the house started shaking, the images of the ones with them melting like butter. the plank of wood started falling one by one, like tiles, and the void bellow it, an endless darkness, sucking everything to the inside. Claire was now standing on a broom floating as the floor tiles fell into and endless darkness.

"Survive the darkness,
survive the fall,
dont get your self killed,
or loose it all."

Claire chanted whisking her right index finger like a wand.

Anyones initial reaction would be staying on the tile, she expected him to do so, as it was a common human reaction, even if he was indeed a special one, the other card then went into activation, a giant slime like creature invisible to the eye ate the human and threw it's self into the darkness, there was no helping it now, the creature threw it's self to the darkness and he was in it.

Ground just a little bit outside of the refugee camp slowly shifted, a form becoming visible as the figure was wearing an all white uniform except for his tie. He was laying there, groaning softly as he had been out for some time. He had been covered beneath the rubble and the commotion from the nearby refugee camp had awoken him. "Ah... lemons..." He said, panting heavily as he looked to his right, a rather heavy and large piece of concrete had fallen and crushed him arm. "Wah... Babe? Help... Help!" He found himself saying, calling out to anyone that might be nearby that could help him. Pain was slowly starting to creep back into his body as his left hand moved about, grabbing his shoulder. "Help!" He yelled, closing his eyes tightly as he tried to pull himself out, his arm pinned down beneath the weight. He found himself helpless, he needed help to get out and find his lover.

Waka never found an opportunity to answer the man's question; before he could, a whole posse arrived and he found himself quietly observing events unfold. One of the women left, "Miss Bucky", as she was referred to, while the other one sent the shelter shaking. " Kyouga, would you mind watching my sister? " He asked Kyouga, the only person he was familiar with. Without waiting for an answer, he left the shelter and made his way towards where he thought he heard someone calling for help. Much to his dismay, he found a man with his arm trapped under a huge chunk of concrete. Waka looked at the man with sorrowful eyes as he asked, " How'd you get under there? "

The man struggled hard as he tried to free himself from the piece of concrete that had broken and was crushing his arm. He grunted softly as he grabbed as much of his arm as he could and tried to pull it free but it didn't even work once. He hadn't taken notice to the figure arriving, only taking notice when he had heard the male's voice and he turned his emerald eyes towards him. "I don't remember... I just remember seeing a wave and I got hit by something and blacked out. All I know is my arm is really stuck." The man said, staring at the man before he tried to pull once more at his arm in a desperate attempt to free it. "Now that I've been awake... The pain is starting to set in..." The man said, looking towards Waka as if asking him to help him out of this situation. He was not only in physical pain but also mental pain as he needed to find his wife to be as he hoped that she was alright.

Waka nodded as he listened to the strange man's story. He sighed; it seemed like meeting "strange" people was becoming a running theme. He doubled over and began to attempt to lift the slab of concrete. It came up a few inches before Waka lost his grip. " Sorry 'bout that. " Again, he began to try to lift it. After a third attempt, he took a different approach and pushed it to the right. Eventually, the slab came off the man's arm. Waka extended his hand, offering assistance to get up. He forced a smile and said to the man, " My name is Ushiwaka Hanasaki, The Gods' Gift To Man. Call me Waka. "

The man laid there, watching Waka closely as he leaned over and began his attempt to free the strange individual by lifting the slab. Yet he lost his grip after a few inches and the man whined out in pain and clenched his teeth. "It's alright..." The man said, his emerald eyes watching Waka as he tried it again, failing and causing more pain. Finally he just pushed it off, the man just laid there panting heavily as his right arm was in intense pain as it felt sore or even broken. His hand moved, grabbing Waka's as he slowly moved up to where he was standing and sighed. "I go by Jester. It's nice to meet you Waka." Jester said, looking at Waka as his hair shifted, the individual curl on the top of his head bounced and his eyes looked about. "That really hurt... Might need to put something on my arm before I go looking for her." He said, brushing off his white suit and his jester pants. His hand grabbing a white top hat which he sat on top of his head before grabbing his umbrella. "Would the camp have any braces that I can put on my arm?"
