Cherry Blossom Park

Dawn blushed a little bit and try to conceal it she looked away played with her hair she couldn't believe she just did that.

Lee looked down at her as he watched her. He slowly leaned forward as he moved his right hand behind his back and placed his left hand onto her head and let his lips place themselves onto her forehead and then looked down at her as he spoke
"You have nothing to worry about, I'll make sure to keep you in check."

"Keep me in check." Dawn asked

"Why do you have to keep me in check?" Dawn asked

Lee leaned back as he rose his left hand and placed his index finger on himself as he spoke
"I know what I'm capable of, but you might do something rash and unthinkable, so I have to make sure you don't"
He let his head tilt to the left side as he laughed lightly

Dawn pouted a little. "What do you mean rash and unthinkable?" Dawn asked pressing the question as she leaned in and tilted her head to the side. "I know what I'm capable of, you might surprise yourself one of these days by just reacting to something so close."

Lee watched Dawns reactions as he enjoyed how the conversation when from what it once was a glare hate match to this. He rose his head to the side as he looked up and placed his right hand onto his forehead and spoke
"Oh, me? Unthinkable. It's always the cute ones that goes around causing unheard mischief."
He then turned his eyes down toward Dawn to watch her reply

Dawn's cheeks turn light red.

"The pyro thing just happened, I don't go around torching people." Dawn smirked

yet

"You sneak around all quite like, so you must be plotting something."

Lee listened to what it was she was saying and let his smile brighten up as he got a reaction that he wanted. He then turned his head toward her once more as he moved his hands down to his hips and replies
"Oh, that is just to make sure I can keep an eye on you so I can get you out of any trouble you might find yourself in, of course."

"Oh right to Keep me out of trouble." Dawn smiled

"Getting me alone seems to fit better. Don't you think?" Dawn smirked.

Lee was smiling more and more at her replies until he heard her last comment and then laughed a little more hesitantly as he let his eyes look upward toward the sky and rose his right hand and placed his index finger onto his cheek and scratched it lightly as he replied
"Well...if we were all alone, that would seem to cause even more trouble. The constant back and forth of who was better, we'd have the Gotei 13 hunting us down after all the mess we would cause."

Dawn smiled when she saw that she hit a nerve.

"Hurt a nerve did I? You seem a little shy to me." Dawn smiled obviously enjoying that she was making him kind of nervous.

Lee let his eyes aim higher into the air as he listened to her speak and then replied as he crossed his arms
"Not a nerve, I was just thinking about something else and got me distracted."
He made sure his eyes dd not travel down to try and meet hers, that would only make his bluff that much more see through

"You haven't changed a bit. I know your lying. Look at me in th eyes." Dawn looked at Lee hoping he'd look at her.

"Tell me I'm right." Dawn teased.

Lee paused as he was called out on his bluff but his smile slowly grew back as he nodded his head and turned toward her and placed himself within centimeters of her own face, his eyes closed as he spoke
"I have no idea what your talking about."

Dawn blushed more feeling her cheeks get hotter.

"Yes you do. Open your eyes and tell me I'm right." Dawn said softly.

Lee heard her resolve and was not willing to back down. It was a stupid and overall silly argument but for what ever reason, he couldn't let it go. So, his eyelids slowly separated from one another as he met her eye to eye and that was when he realized, he was A LOT closer than he thought he was. He paused as he then spoke
"There.....my eyes are open..."

Dawn blushed more...

"Tell me I'm right...I know I made you shy." Dawn said pressing a little bit more.

Lee's face was so much closer and she felt more and more nervous.

Lee once more found himself without words as he just listened to what it was that Dawn was saying. He then was able to find the words as she finished
"But....what about you...?"
He felt the breath of there closeness and it was starting to make him feel a little off.

Dawn didn't need it in words, she knew she made Lee nervous. He couldn't even talk straight. She couldn't talk straight either.

"wow...um..." Dawn couldn't even string together words to make a sentence.

Lee did not need to hear it in words, he knew that she was nervous by his actions. She couldn't even talk a full sentence but then again, it was hard enough for him to try and do the very same thing. He had to move himself away from her and continued to rush through his thoughts, there childhood that once again came in unimportant flashes of random things. She was a friend, a childhood friend, one that until a few hours ago, never knew he had.

Dawn looked down at the floor and let her hair cover her face. Dawn covered her face with her hands and tried to relax.

Lee slowly let his posture straighten as he looked off to the side and moved his left hand to the back of his neck and rubbed it as he tried to keep his mind on anything else, anything. Like the water, water was nice, it wasn't so nice when he was drowning in it but it could be nicer, screw the water. How bout a leaf, or a flower petal, there are alot of those around, how could you not think about those?

"Okay I'm gonna admit it, you make me nervous. There I said it." Dawn let out a long sigh

She covered her face again, she couldn't believe what she just said. She never said that to anyone. She bit down on her bottom lip more nervous then before.

"Alright I'm going to say it, you made me nervous. There, you were right."
Lee rose his right hand up over his face as he let the words slip out of his mouth. He let out a long breath and the paused. He slowly turned his head toward her as she spoke similar words

Dawn bit her bottom, she was always careful with her words but this time she let emotions get in the way. She wasn't sure what was going to happen next, she wanted to say something but she waiting for him to make the next move.
