Lee listened to her as she spoke of what had happened and whom it was that might have made the very notes he was reading and trying to figure out. He slowly took a step toward her and stopped as he moved his right hand onto his chest and spoke
"Then let me finish it. I'm so close to finding out how everything works together. I have this knowledge, even if I never have the resources to do anything, it would be a stepping stone to better things Dawn..."

"This is 12th division classified stuff. Haji told me to..."

Burn it, Burn it, burn it. I don't trust him...

"What should I do?" Dawn mumbled as she ran her fingers through her hair making it cover her face...

"I would be disobeying Haji's orders."

Lee slowly moved himself forward slowly as he moved his left hand into his pocket and slowly lowered his right hand down to his side and stopped a few feet from her. He slowly let himself kneel down onto his right knee and he placed his right hand onto the top of his leg and then spoke
"Haji, what would he have wanted you to do? Destroy one of the most important documents the Soul Society ever created from a man hard work?"

Dawn thought about her options...it's easy for anyone to give into temptation...if I give it to him...I wouldn't forgive myself...nor would Haji. This book is clearly 12th Division property, this project was abandoned a long time ago, and for the best. Our intentions are for the best of the Soul Society, but Lee's intentions are hard to read.

Lee slowly took in a deep breath as he then exhaled and let his head shake. He leaned himself back slightly as he let himself fall onto his backside as he crossed his legs and placed his glasses in front of himself and placed his hands in between his legs and spoke
"Okay, shoot. What do you want to know? Standing here and arguing is not going to help anyone. Let's try and nicer approach."

"I'm gonna be straight with you, I don't trust you." Dawn said without looking up from the floor

"You don't understand what this meant to the 12th Division. The STG of the 12th Division has the blood of many on our hands. When the fire started, I realized this was a huge step back it was like we were at the start again, with nothing but a book to decode and a flashdrive so encrypted not even our top techie could do anything about it."

Lee slowly let his head nod as she spoke quite straight forward to him. He listened to what she said about a disk and then replied as he continued to nod his head
"Well, that is very reasonable. After finding that a very important book like that was with me the whole time, who wouldn't. I never thought it was that much of a big deal, just another book that caught my interest. I didn't even think it was possible at first."
He laughed lightly as he rose his his left hand up to his cheek and scratch it lightly

Dawn was getting kind of annoyed.

"What do you really want with this book Lee?" Dawn asked

Lee listened to what it was that she said and brought his left hand to the back of his neck and rubbed it lightly as he replied
"I told you, I want to finish what I started. I told you everything that you wanted to know."

"I want it as well, but I feel like your masking your intentions." Dawn replied

Lee let his head drop down as he heard what she said. Childish. He slowly rose his right hand up to his forehead as he rubbed it. He then looked back up to Dawn and pointed toward her as he spoke
"Okay, okay. I think I at least have the right to look at it, even if I don't get it back. I've told you everything that you asked, I fulfilled my end of the deal. I should at least be met one forth of the way."

"And if I don't let you look at it? What are you gonna do?" Dawn asked looking up at Lee.

She wanted to test him to see how far he'd go for the book...

Lee listened to her as she spoke of not letting him have the book and his actions from it. He closed his hand as he let it drop down to his lap as he let his head drop as he spoke
"I would have just taken it by force way before now....but that would have been from some other person. I know you and if I didn't remember who you were, then this would have turned out differently. There isn't very much I can do."

Dawn sighed...lets just hope whatever is on that computer is a copy of this book. I just hope that the STG member didn't erase it.

"Here." Dawn got the book out of her pocket and gave it to Lee. "You owe me, and when I say that, I mean you owe me your life."

Lee was actually kind of shocked at what he heard. He rose his head as he looked to the red book. He slowly rose his right hand and took the book into his hand and brought it into his lap and then looked up toward her as she spoke
"Well, that is quite a thing for me to owe but I don't think there should be anything for you to have to take it."

"After all these years when I have the power over you, I thought I would have taken it but there is something I remember about you...before you changed I trusted you with my life. I'm not sure if I trust you that much anymore."

Lee listened to what it was that Dawn spoke of. He slowly let his right hand raise the book up and down on his right knee. He let the tapping come to a stop as he looked off to the side and then replied
"Like we already stated. We both changed, for better or worse is still up in the air."

"I've become a little bit more of a pyro, but that shouldn't be new to you. And if you decide to betray me then I'l have to kill you." Dawn smiled a little.

Lee listened as she spoke of becoming more of a fire bug than she was when they were younger. The images of small fires being started, her waving a stick with it's tip lit bright. He then returned to reality and rose his left hand and placed it onto her head and rubbed it lightly and spoke
"If I deiced to betray you, I'll make sure to leave you plenty of openings."

"You better." Dawn smiled a little.

Dawn sighed thinking that she betrayed her old captain.

Lee continued to rub the top of her heard as she spoke of him making sure to do as he was told. He laughed lightly as he tilted his head to the side and then looked down and removed his hand from her head and down to his glasses and held them toward her
"Here, I want you to have them. As a gift and to remember our day."

"I could see fine, I'm pretty sure I can remember a day like this." Dawn smiled softly.

Lee laughs as he slowly shakes his head from one side to the other with his arm still outstretched as he replied
"There not for you to wear all the time silly. It's just in case you need a reminder of our deal. And same goes for me."

Dawn lets out a long sigh...she tippy toes and hugs Lee.

"I'm hoping with every fiber in my body that your the good guy and not someone I have to kill." Dawn whispers she kisses his cheek softly and pulls away.

"I don't want have to kill you." Dawn smiled

She remembered an STG member who told her Your the only one that can make death sound so sensual. She also remembers slapping him really hard till Haji told her to stop.

Lee looked down at her as she rose up to let her arms wrap him in a hug. He was a little unused to this. He let his arms wrap around her lightly as he felt the peck on his cheek as she then spoke, his arms finding there way back to his sides as he spoke
"It's okay, you wont have to. I'll make sure to put my knowledge to good use and you'll see, the Soul Society will get better and we'll get closer and I'll remember more."
