    OK, here is how it goes, this would be a tutorial on how BD spars could be fought this is just an option, you can spar as you like, but i prefer using this

    high level reiatsu = 150-200 reiatsu usage

    now we can use the random tag
    we type it like this.
    Code:
    [rand]150,200[/rand]

    in it the reiatsu we used.


    Random number (150,200) : 182



    the random number that would appear, is the amount of damage the opponent would receive.

    thus decreasing the the users reiatsu level as well

    [reiatsu = 800]
    [life = 1000]

    182 was the damaged caused by the attack the arrancar gave there for ruru looses 182 on her life

    Item Usage:

    as you may have noticed that we have shops around in the RL world, we can also use them in combat.

    but if we use it, like in most rpg we cant attack.

    Ruru uses an urahara healing herb, "hah!, you wont kill me that easily"

    Urahara healing herb can only restore 50-100 life

    thus we use the random tag again

    Only thing is that when you use a random tag, if you edit a certain post, a different value would apear when you send it again, so watch those grammars and typo's.

    in red font the typo.

    where in i cant edit it anymore since the user posted already.

    but it's supposed to be.

    we can also use items we bought in combat.

    we have stores in the living world

    Hmm... i'm not to keen on this system. It makes sparring seem very limited and also too mathematical. When i RP i like to concentrate on having fun rather than keeping track of statistics and numbers. But that's just my opinion. I despise math.

    You don't have to use the system. Though it'd be appreciated if everyon did so.

    When you open up a thread to spar, add a note. Something like "this spar will not use the BD battle system. we will spar normally".

    I like this system overall, But I have one question if I may;

    How is the random number determined for damage? I noticed it said between 150-200 in your post, and the random number was 182. Did you pick that or do you have a system to determine it?

    Sorry if this is silly, but I'm just curious about it. Hopefully I didn't misread.


    I know this may be abit off, but I've been working on something like this a long time myself, and I would love to share with you what I have if you wanted to see it.

    and oooh, doy, i should really post this list somewhere, hold on (goes to 13th Division archives and grabs her LIST)

    they were actually based on something, but no actually discussed the list with me, so i made a list up for my.. uhrm, beloved Ex-Division.

    I see. Wow, that is really cool actually. I love the random code, it makes things very very fair.

    Having had a chance to look at what you have done, perhaps mine will not be of as much use.
    You seem to be more advanced along the path I was searching, but I will take sometime to compile my stuff and let you see what I have.

    What I did have that worked was a power ranking system, that allowed for growth.
    I based the areas of a characters ability on the same criteria used in the official Bleach Databook.

    Basically the idea behind what I had worked like this; people completed certian training missions for points. these mission points were used as a currency to buy ability points that would increase their stats.
    Like I said though, let me get it together and I will post what I had and you can feel free to pick through it and see if any of it can be used. This particular subject is something that really intrigues me, like a pet project. Sorry, I'm an old D & D rper..lol

    Ok, I am very sorry and I know that I am double posting, but I said I would put this up soon. Here is the system I mentioned to you earlier. This was the first step in a larger plan for me, but it established what I call base power ratings for a character, and a way to increase those through training and work.


    Ok, here is what I am thinking. I think the best course of action is to use the official Bleach databook to begin our ranking.

    The areas to be ranked are this;

    Offense Power (obvious. Your attack power)

    Defense Power(Obvious. Your defense strength)

    Mobility (Shunpo rate and length)

    Demon Arts (Kidou skill and strength)

    Soul Pressure {specifically control} (Reitsu control. Basically think of it like this; if you have strong pressure control you can damage things around you by firing up your power. Think of the Ichigo/Kenpachi battle. This also applies to how well you can maintian your reitsu during battle)

    Intelligence (how smart are you in battle tactics. Are you a strategist or do you overwhelm your opponent)

    Body Power (i'm dividing this up into 3 sections)

    Sealed: (sealed power)

    Shikai: (shikai power)

    Bankai: (Bankai power)

    Ok now for the test run, here is the Points for each seats Base power:
    to make it simple at first, I am going to do it this way.

    Captain = 3000
    VC = 2000

    3rd = 1500
    4th =1400
    5th = 1200
    6th = 1100
    7th = 1000
    8th = 900
    9th = 750
    10th = 600
    11th = 500
    12th = 400
    13th = 300
    14th = 200
    15th = 100
    16th = 90
    17th = 80
    18th = 70
    19th = 60
    20th = 50

    Recruit = 25


    These base points are distributed across the areas mentioned above and this is where you will start.

    Now, for the other half of my idea:

    I did some quick calculating and here is what i came up with:

    Using the idea of mission points, earned by completing missions, like this

    The mission is then read and graded, and a certian number of points are rewarded, probably between 50 to 100. These are kept as Mission Points
    (MP = whatever). Once someone reaches 500 they are allowed to trade them in for ability points, probably 5. Each member is only allowed to do a limited number of missions per week (5). That way they can only obtain 5 points per week. Now let's see this in action:

    Name: test Guy
    Seat: Recruit
    Base Points: 25

    Offense Power: 5
    Defense Power: 5
    Mobility: 3
    Demon Arts: 3
    Soul Pressure {specifically control}: 2
    Intelligence: 4
    Sealed: 3
    Shikai: N/A to recruit
    Bankai: N/A to recruit

    Mission Points: 0


    That would be a rating.

    Now after the mission example I gave above, let's say it got 100. This would be the new look.

    Name: test Guy
    Seat: Recruit
    Base Points: 25
    Earned Points: 0

    Offense Power: 5
    Defense Power: 5
    Mobility: 3
    Demon Arts: 3
    Soul Pressure {specifically control}: 2
    Intelligence: 4
    Sealed: 3
    Shikai: N/A to recruit
    Bankai: N/A to recruit

    Mission Points: 100


    Now after 500 is reached, 5 abilities points are earned, so it would then look like this:

    As you can see the abilities are increased by the new points. Mission points reset and are only logged by individual captians/VC in each division

    I understand that it sounds like alot of work but it isn't. See, all a captian has to do is authorize that a person has traded in points, logging name and date.
    each member is responsible for keeping up with their own info, MP or Mission points and then approach the captian or VC for the trade in.

    Well, at any rate this is an idea I worked on somewhere else, but I never actually put it into any use, so I don't know if it will work. I just thought I'd let you see it just in case anything in there is usefull to you.

    anywho, we did try using the battle system for a spar, somewhere in BD (mod area)

    and we discovered quite one to many flaws aswell, but with this idea, we could imporve it more.. ^^

    i'm going to have to lock this thread soon, if ever i'm going to re create this system haha.

    Well, I just included the basic idea of what I had. My whole goal was a systematic way to alot certain amount of damage to different types of attacks, and a health system; both of which you seem to already have in place!

    Here is something else to add for you really quick, that may add onto this; the basis behind this work was simplicity, in the sense that this system would be easy to pick up for anyone who is experienced in rping, or brand new to it.

    With that in mind, one thing I found that worked best was not to rank each and every move specifically but to determine degrees of attacks or defense, like a low, medium and high system. Combine something like that with your random code, and you got a pretty good system going.
