His nature has become a little bit more serious as his strength has become more serious. Though he is still pyrophenic (goes insane with fires), it is alot less than before. Furthermore his face has been healed of all burns. Even so he still wears the mask.

Daiseisho was a newly appointed brigadier General of an army in a land that was desolated with famine, war and death. When he arrived to his troops there were only about 327 left. Their foe was great and he was in a tight spot, With the numbers against him and the morale low he stood up and raised his sword over his head saying "after we dine I will make my grave, and I will either live here of die! And let me tell you now, this will not be a day for dying... THIS DAY WE FIGHT!"
Daiseisho was renowned for boosting even the most frail of morale and getting his troops to fight without fear. On the battlefield though, the entire troop were slaughtered, not because of being over-confident, but by the sheer fact that their foe had better numbers and better equipment. But Daiseisho fought until his last breath, knowing he was going to die. as he wandered the domain as a lost soul. he met a nameless samurai that told him that his comrads, and his love were waiting for him, in Soul Society. After a little hesitation he decided to go to meet to the place the swordsman spoke of. and so the start of his journey as a shinigami commenced.
Shinigami Arc
Even as a youth, Daiseisho was always in playful combat with the other kids that were there. He would show his skill when using a short stick, using a long one (treating it as a pole-staff). But even with victory, the opponent didn't hate of dislike him for being worse than him. There was something that Daiseisho has about him that caused all the foes around him to not help but be happy around him.
When he came to the coming of age he was brought to the Izuna clan, whom the Oricaltos family vowed to protect. Taking the role seriously, he swore to protect the Izuna clan and the being whom he was to defend with his life, Melodia.
The time progressed and his powers grew as he protected the Izuna clan from all four sides of hollows. He was the only defence they had, for soul society was too far away. Eventually the surudoi-me (piercing eye) became active. This was a major advantage for him as he would now be able to see hollows and dodge unseeable attacks. After fending off against 4 hollows he vowed to master everything about his blade and the art of the weaponary. The elders believe what he said and had decided to teach him the art of the izuna style techniques. These techniques are thought to the elite guards to defend against threats of hollows.
Smiling Reaper arc
On his 403rd birthday, the clan had given his a bokken made out of the finest timber (ash, with a sakura exterior). With this training blade he trained everyday in the wooded area near Melodia's household. He was at peace for now. However his happiness was not to last. In the house hold the female was fighting her hollow side. Oblivious to what was happening, Daiseisho trained to continue the promise he made. Then as the female then succumbed to the power of the hollow, she began to go on a killing spree of her entire clan. After the last member the female then loked to the forest where daiseisho was. Immediately she would set the wood on fire as she would also cause the flames to come against him. The cause was the entire left arm and then entire face of the guardiand suffereing full thickness burns
as the two were trapped by the flames, the burnt male's screams became a laugh of insanity as he stood up again without a moments hesitation he ran at the female with an insane grin on his face and kicked him into the fire. Due to the burns on the attacker of Daiseisho, Malodia seemed to have died and his spirit disintegrated. he then let out a mad laugh as he would the pass out due the burns he had. When he woke up he met with the 4th squad captain as she told him about the what happened from her perspective. when he saw how hideous he was in the mirror is had paid everything he had to conceal it. This was not because he was a narcissist but because he cannot bear to see the looks on peoples faces when they see him. And so he was given a mask, forged from silver to use. it covered his face. not long after he joined with squad 2, where he hopes he will be useful to all the members there.
time skip arc
Daiseisho in a short space of time proved his worth. He was a low ranking memeber of squad 2, but his eyes were as dangerous as ever, for now not only would he sense kido and reiatsu but also heat. He honored others and was gentle at heart. and with the honor he had shown over the years he was dubbed "the white serpent of soul society", representing the hope that was there for soul society and defending the weak irrespective of the power.
Though this was not to last, After a mission to defeat a rogue shinigami he abandoned his post. He left to return to the remains of the Izuna clan. What he saw a husk of what it was. All former glory stripped away. There was no-one. All perished in the strands and battles that took place during the civil war.
Feeling hatred for this he would swear revenge against soul society. It was around this time that he met a hollow called Relampago who, at the time, was disguised as a shinigami.
Relampago manipulated his hatred and first Daiseisho went to assassinate Micheal Shichirou, the former vice captain of squad 2 when Daiseisho was in the squad. However time too has seen him grow and he was now the captain of squad 6.
In the failed attempt he saw one man again. Lee Takamoto. The man did not wish to use his power to full strength so he called for his new "ally" to assist him in escaping.
Not long after the Angel known as Incun was sent to bring Daiseisho to heaven. There the soul king himself had honored him the place with the position of Captain of squad 0.
Angel of weapons Arc
With the new position, though he was to stay in heaven, Daiseisho began to look at investigations that the shinigami were doing. Assisting them in ways that were subtle enough to not be known for these, but enough to assist them nonetheless.
In the invasion of the Espada, Daiseisho found an unconscious Micheal in the ruins of the izuna clan after facing countless hollows. There they spoke and conversed before Relampago entered the area.
There both daiseisho and Relampago fought, trading blows. A cero hurled though the ruins, and even Daiseisho was pitched against his own worst fear, his failure to save his master, Melodia Izuna.
Filled with the rage that consumed him once again, he let loose the technique known as the "Piercing Hydrangea". This move left the hollow in a state that he would bear grip onto his life, let alone breathe.
As michael picked up the fallen esapda and brought him to safety, Daiseisho sensed an odd reiatsu reading. Following it, there was a flight of stairs the hollow's cero uncovered. Following it down it revealed the spirits of the heads of the Izuna clan.
There daiseisho fought all of them, including melodia, to master beyond what he knew, his body was broken and his heart was weary. Before finally facing melodia izuna, the most powerful of the izuna clan heads. Her own eyes, training eyes, saw every move, and every technique. Causing her to master all of them.
The man was almost killed, however his spirit appeared and using spatial realm altherion, he sealed both his piercing eyes and her training eyes. Using this for the first time, Daiseisho saw another man on a hill with countless swords stabbed into him. Facing Melodia he would use up so much reiatsu that his own Zanpakutou materialised and, in a flash sacrificed herself for him. Without a sword, the other began to vanish, including the ones in the body upon the hill.
When the final blade vanished the being shunpo'd to the battle. It was an armored version of daiseisho a shield in one hand and a sword in the other. In a flash both daiseisho the armored and unarmored merged. This brought about the angel of weapons, The pinnacle of the arsenal that heaven have to offer. In no time daiseisho killed the spirit of melodia, Letting her finally rest.
With a new found power, Daiseisho realised why he never recognised himself as a Shinigami. He was an angel, and the Izuna clan was in between soul society and heaven, which is why he never heard of it before.

Description: Caladbolg is sword that Daiseisho can materialise in bow mode. If is fired at the enemy rather then used in melee combat. The blade of the sword coils into a spiral that can penetrate any target by creating a twisting distortion in space. On contact it will explode, ripping through anything around the blast.
downside: the range of Caladbolg is highly unpredictable. Some times Daiseisho will be far enough to be outside the blast zone. Other times he would be nor so lucky.

Description: At the seventh chanted line, The battle will become consumed by bright flames, reaching everywhere the eye can see. When the flames die down they would find themselves in another realm. Swords and blades of all kind are seen. The ground is bloodied with battles and the sky is red, with cogs and wheels always moving, always turning. Daiseisho uses this realm to change his weapon when he pleases, if anyone else would try to take a sword from here, they would find it is impossible for them to do so. The only way to return to the real area, is by the Unlimited blade dance, or by a sufficient power to break the area. After Unlimited Blade Works has shattered it cannot be used for the remainder of the fight.

Description: Raising his hand he would have all the weapons rise up from the ground. In an instant all of then would then travel at a rapid pace towards the enemy. The moment the largest of the blades strike the opponent, the Unlimited blade works realm will shatter.
