Can males and females actually be JUST friends?

like harry and sally? but that's a different story it actually just lead to love >.<

for me, i think its insanely impossible, there i said it!

I say yes, assuming that the male is gay, which would confirm my theory of the 'gay friend' : Guy always hanging out wiht girls without never having a sexual relation with anyone of them

One male can not be just friends with every female and vise versa... But a guy can have female friends with no strings attached, just not all of them... I'm a straight guy, but last year (before I graduated from highschool) I had 5+ female friends that were simply just that, friends... I actualy had more female friends than guy friends at that time...

So it's not impossible, but it can't be possible 100% of the time...
