Las Noches, a castle that stands in the middle of a barren desert. The only place where there is order and maybe even "civilization" in the endless miles of sand that engulf this dimension. A exclusive palace reserved the most powerful beings that reside in this land of the dead. And if you wish, you may follow in the steps of this kings to find some refuge in the castle. But chances are, you might not survive.
Footsteps rang and echoed through the halls of the eastern building of Las Noches. A young man, thin but still quite well built marched forward. A rare sight for this solider to be walking around outside his kingdom, yet there he was. Left, right, left, right. A diligent military man, holding onto the side of his sword by his waist, never breaking formation. Until finally, he took a short pause to stare at the moon that floated above the palace. The only source of "natural" light. And yet it felt empty. He then looked beyond the desert.
"There is no sound... There is no light... There is nothing here."
He placed his hand on the edge of the glassless window and continued to stare at the beyond, as if a figure would begin to emerge. The cold uninhabitable kingdom he resides in was very different from all the other kingdoms, and the desert as well. But the lifeless, desolate air of the desert gives him comfort a little.
Nikolaj closed his eyes and took a silent but big whiff of the air of the outside. Nothing was taken in, no smell, no particles. It was quieter then usual around the halls. Usually a few loose fraccions might be wandering around but none were in sight.
It wasn't as if he was out and about looking for someone to chat with but he was still curious. Did something happen while he was isolated in his own kingdom? Surely the primera would've said something. He was so loyal to them after all... so ...
"Where is everyone?"
