Just A Drink I Swear

Vladimir slowly walked down into a small bar on the eedge of the Seireitei. this was one of two places with a strong enough drink to get him buzzed if he thought about it. he wasnt sure if he would be ok when he came back but he had years upon years to forget about. that prison really messed him up but hed figure it out eventually he always did so walking up to the bar he ran his hand threw his hair and ordered the strongest drink they had. as the bar tender made his drink he looked around the room. yea he may be a bit out of place. he was wearing some borrowed shinigami robes. his sleeves were ripped offand his arms were bare of any tattoos for now. he always wanted them but the prison was rather short of prisoners when he thought about getting any.

Alice pushed open the door to the familiar bar. It was far away from her desk and pounds of paper work, with the smell of sweat and rough looking patrons. Most had long given up the chase for her, as her cruel nature would make the loneliest bloke uninterested. The short bar area had three nailed down old stools, and one was occupied by an unfamiliar man.

She sat at the furthest away, as that was the socially expected reaction to having 3 spaces and 1 is filled by a stranger. Sht hopped up, as the were 4 feet high seats, and that was above the height of her legs, being only 5'3 over all. She noted the stranger was in an old uniform with the sleeves ripped off. Alice assumed he was just one of those guys who thinks that sort of thing was attractive. She personally wore her red and black hearts dress. One of her favorites.

Her eyes moved to the bartender, who was already fetching her drink. A bottle of apple ale. Nothing strong, just something to take the edge off endless paper work that seems to fry an already unstable mind. The bar tender handed her the uncapped beverage and she took a swig, letting out a sigh upon completion. The cool yet satisfying gulp seemed to already take a notch off the stress.

Looking around he saw everyone in casual attire. he guessed this uniform was outdated. didnt matter much to him. hed need new clothes eventually and he guessed black would do well considering his enviornment. so as he sipped his drink the bartender mentioned that the usual patron that sits where he is would like her seat. he said hed like to talk to her about the seat. inside he just needed to think and find out what this place was like and is like. he needed to adapt as some would put it. "lets see what this customer has to say and what this place is like"

The bartender wondered and exchanged words with the new comer and returned to Alice. It would seem he requests her to be next to him and to "talk", yeah she has heard that one before, and she would do the same as she did to all the others who ask for her attention in this old bar. "Line them up." She says to the bartender.

10 shots were poured and set in front of the seat between the two. Irish Whiskey was the shots of choice at this bar. And whiskey went down like water for quick effect and level of drunk to take one out of the competition quickly.

Alice turned and faced the mystery man. "I don't like bullshit. You want my tie you must beat me in a drinking contest." The bartender was at the ready to pour more when needed. Alice raised an eyebrow anticipating a yes from the challenger.

Vlad looked at her and the line of drinks. "how about we make this interesting. I win you answer some questions. You win i leave you get your seat and we go to a tattoo parlor and anywhere except my face you can put a tattoo there of anything you want." he needed the information and a little harmless fun couldnt hurt. he can deal with a tatto if theres a chance of getting what he needs. "so what do you say we got a deal?" he smiled or more of smirked. he was confident he could win and thats all he needed. so as he moved to order his own round someone in the background noticed his little challenge and slowly everyone gathered around their table. as distracting as it was it helped him remember to not perform but to win.

Alice was hardly interested in what she was offered, but intrigued on what this man expected to get out of a criminally insane woman. A half grin cracked across the left side of her lips. "Deal." She said, grabbing a shot and tapping it to the wooden bar before downing it. "No chaser, just shots." She said, while feeling the light burn whiskey was known for. Don't worry, I will cover the costs of our little game." As she started the competition it was only fair.

People gathered, but she wasn't concerned. If they were loud she would give them the look, and they would disperse, still spectating from afar. She nodded at the bartender, who was aware she was good on her word when it came to money.

Vlad looked at her smile. and ordered his own round of shots. hed start with 10 shots for now. his four horseman drink had started a soft buzz but that would pass. hopefully hed win and be able to control himself. he didnt remember what he was like drunk. hed only drank a few times in that prison. most of the time it was experiments on what he could succesfully fight under as far as being intoxicated. anyway back to the bet Vlad downed two shots after a brisk tap to the bar table. he went for his third shot and watched her for a second. "rules of this little game of yours?"

Alice picked up three shots between her fingers, tapped them to the table and poured them waterfall style into her mouth. She swallowed the large amount of straight booze. She had a slow nod for the answer to his question. Her eyes large and intense. "More are made for each round. I will teach you... If you last that long."

Vladimir smiled he could learn to like this person. "Its Vlad and you will find im not some light weight when it comes to this." he followed her lead and took three shots back to back before swallowing the liquor the familiar burn bringing him back as he went to take another. Something told him he wouldnt be walking back straight after this was over but he might come back a bit richer. He swallowed his sixth shot and took a slow breath.

Alice tapped and quickly killed the rest of her line. A long sigh came from her lips after, tilting her head back as the breath escaped. The bartender cleaned them up and waited for Vlad to complete to set up the next line. Alice was not so quick to reveal information. Why should she? That is what this guy wanted, so he would not receive it for free. There would be no fun in that.

Vladimir watched in intrest before he drank the rest of his line. he then smiled and looked up nothing his blood could do for him. he actually enjoyed doing things with an even playing field. No one had tricks up their sleeve and no one had an advantage that couldnt easily be overcome. the effects would hit him later but for now hed go allout to get what he needed.

The bartender set both lines of 10. Same whiskey. "New rules: No chaser, tap," she lifted her first shot, tapped, swallowed the foul drink and set her cup down opening to the wood. "And flip your glass once finished." Alice was only slightly feeling the booze and had much fight left in her.

"Sounds simple enough. Next round Im ordering the shots. then you have it back for the rest of this little challenge. I'm thinking three shots that round one Four Horsemen a double shot Four horsemen go to sea and a Triple Shot Four horsemen and hell follows. If your up for it that is?"He followed her lead and took two shots in hand and tapped them to the bar table before downing their contents. the burn in his throat didn't bother him as much as the effects were at this point. he knew he could finish the game but he'd have to do it fast before they caught up to him. He had a smile on his face despite the fact he thought the liquor was hitting him harder.

"You have to finish your set first, so don't be too excited yet." She said with a hand motion down the line. She slams two more shots while taking the time to tap the table and end with them faced down. She followed this by sitting back in her chair and crossing her legs. She seriously wondered how long this little game would continue. Time was ticking before at the very least she would have to pee.

"I intend to"he took two more shots his hand shaking slightly as he tapped em to the table. he smiled and took the shot slow to get ready to go faster as everything ws being processed. if he was unlucky hed lose and make a fool of himself when he got too drunk. Hed either flirt with someone or get stupid and by stuid he meant full blown IQ of 5 type stupid. well he shrugged it aside after placing the glasses to match upside down like the first set. he then went back to grab the next duo of shots.

Alice watched the man's hands and also lifted the next two shots to her lips, double fisting the pure liquor, remembering to take the time to tap and flip them upside down upon completion. She could still feel her face, so she knew she was alright for now, how was her competition was doing was the real question. She watched his facial expressions closely, like a lion stalking a sick gazelle for clues on his current condition.

Vlad tapped his next two sets quickly wanting to ignore his slowly declining controll. he was getting clumsy but he fixed that with a tighter grip on the glass as he took his last four shots and downed thm as quickly as he could.he didnt care much for for it now it was just confirming that he got the liquid down. flipping them over he placed the glasses down and ordered his round and then 5 for the next round knowing it could and very well could go past his specific round. after the 5 shots hed back out he needed to walk back to his barracks room.

Alice pounded the rest of her line, following the rules and trying to see straight. She had an evil sneering Grin on her face by the end of it. Hard to tell if it was the insanity or the booze causing it.She slid off her black gloves and waited for the new comer to prep the round as it was his ever so special round.

Vlad watched as the three shots were poured. the whiskys blending together in harmony as the rum or spirits mixed in and provided a much more potent endeavor then before. He smiled and looked at her she had taken her gloves off. either she was getting serious or she didnt want to dirty them. he didnt know which nor did he care. he was going to finish this if it killed him. it very well might as his vision was getting blurrier and blurrier but atleast hed go out drinking and in good company, so taking the first drink he downed it as fast as he could with a quick tap denoting he even started.

Alice reluctantly finished the final shots, and was totally gone by the end. She repeatedly pokes her own cheek, to see it is warm and numb. "rrrt... I'm fuckin' done. The fuck you wanna know?"

Vlad finished his shots a bit after her his vision almost gone and his words slurring together in a forced drawl that brought out his inherent accent. accent took on a more west indian tone. if one had to guess he would be from the island of jamaica or possibly Haiti. "Want to drink again sometimes? my question..... Uh it was what the real world is like and something else i cant remember."

Alice bursts out laughing. "I dunno. I ain't been there in years." She leans her head back, and seems ready to pass out. "We can drink.. gain.... Uh.... Who are you again?.... Where do you live? Her eyes trailed off as her drunkenness is starting to let her psyche travel and warp.

Vlad laughed in his drunken stupor. he then asked his last question and barely managed to answer her own before his vision started to fade out. " D-d you know any of the customs of the seireitei? And its Vladimir of 8th division...im 3rd seat." he put his head down on the table with a small thud as his head hit harder then was expected."i cant feel my face"

"3rd seat? Awww you are but a pup." Alice replied, while paying the bill. She patted the head of the man named Vlad, as he face planted into the wooden bar. The bartender seemed less amused as he collected the empty shot glasses and began to clean them. Needless to say Alice tipped handsomely. Alice poked her cheek to realize she too had little feeling in her face. She could feel the warmth on them from her drunken state, but not so much on the cheek aspect.

He mumbled something under his breath. "i prefer being third seat i owe that woman my life. least i can do is be content with the billet she gave me." he was a little annoyed at being called a baby and for having his rank made fun of. but that was his rational self. the alcohol running rampant through his system nearly had him flirt with her just to see what would happen.
