A ruined Land for the Taking

The city was in ruin. This was nothing special anymore, this was a scene that was not only nation, but worldwide. It was a dead town but that is what made it a prime area for such an arrival. A spiritual pathway connecting the world of Hueco Mundo to other worlds tore open in the sky as the infinite black void on the inside began to show.

Inside, a pair of glowing green eyes glared and suddenly a large skeletal hand gripped the edges of the garganta and pulled itself out. It then came crashing to the ground, tumbling a building as it did.

The Gillian class hollow let out a low rumble as it started to move forward.

It certainly wouldn't take long until someone took notice of the Arrancar, and it was actually a single man that took notice of the Arrancar. The man was in a very formal suit and the man was actually albino and very mature looking. He barely seemed bothered by the appearance of the Gillian, but he was a fully matured Vasto Lorde himself.

"Might I ask what brings you here, Gillian? If you are searching for prey I must highly disapprove." the man named Kyouga said civilly as he approached the Gillian. Hopefully, this hollow didn't want any trouble, but Kyouga was definitely a lot stronger than his initial appearance let on.

The Gillian let each foot fall land heavy and relentlessness but in search of souls. It let its last step as its large head turned to the side as the eye looked around and then finally came to find the reason for its halt. It focused on the single individual that spoke words to him that came through as a mutter with a few words coming through, one of them being prey. It then let its bone-like arms throw themselves upward as a loud roar echoed throughout the desolate city as it then let its claw-like hand come down to try and crush the man that stood in front of it.

Kyouga grinned and used his sonido to dodge the hollow's attack and countered with a Cero aimed for the enemy's chest. Kyouga would certainly feel bad if he had to kill this guy, but he couldn't let it hurt anyone either. He assumed that the hollow still had limited intelligence, and still very primal.

"Stop this behavior now or I'll really hurt you! I understand you may be hungry, but don't take it out on me! Kyouga shouted at the Gillian, but some lower class hollows started to appear in the area as well, likely because of the Gillian's sudden arrival. Hopefully, the Gillian would devour the hollows, but there would also be the chance that he would have to exterminate these hollows too.

The large monster let its claw come crashing down to send bits of the pavement into the air as its claws dug into the ground. As the cero was fired at its chest, bones around his chest protrude out in several directions and intertwine at one point as they take the hit of the cero to force the Gillan to stumble back and raise its claws to its chest.

It threw its head up and let out a loud roar from the attack and then let its head turn sideways once more to focus on the attacker once again. It rose its claw up once more as it was about to attack the man once more but stopped. Hunger was the prime motive at this point as it seemed to halt in place. It let its head look around in search for something larger and more eatable.

Kyouga watched patiently as the Gillian went after the hollows. It was moments like this that caused him to miss Claire and his other friends. He was now caught in a dying world that was just starting to rebuild itself. He really wanted to help rebuild this world, but first he would need to take care of the issue of the evil that plagued it.

The large monster ignored the one that once attacked it as it took a side street, its feet landing heavily under it as it placed a claw on a building as it looked down the alleyway in search of a means to sate its own hunger. But once it found nothing there, it crushed the building side and turned to let its tail slam into the side of the building to send it to the ground as its patience was wearing thin as it let forth a low rumble that would seem to shake the ground around it.

Kyouga knocked a few hollows unconscientious with a blow to the head, and hurried over to the Gillian. "Hey, I've got some food for you." Kyouga said as he laid the hollows at the Gillian's feet. Kyouga hoped that he could actually have a conversation with the Gillian now. "Sorry about earlier, I was defending myself. What's your name?" Kyouga asked the Gillian in hopes of getting on better terms with it or him.

The monster continued to scan the surface below it for a source of spiritual pressure and in that, food. It was not long before it appeared in front of it. It took several glances at the hollows that now laid before it and took not time at all in taking a handful and threw them into the wide opening in which it called a mouth. The teeth closed and crushed what would have been left of the hollows.

The bones absorbed the Reiryoku into its bony body. The voice of the man slowly started to fill in in a clearer manner than before. The gillian let both it's hands rest on the ground while it lowered its massive skull down to the ground and in front of the man as words emitted from it.

Shi...ko...Shiko...tsu...mya...ku....Shikotsumyaku...

Kyouga was relieved to learn that this Gillian had some intelligence and wasn't a mindless beast. "My name is Kyouga. I am a Vasto Lorde Hollow, and I hope you don't mind if I lend you a hand for a while. Ever since this world fell into ruin, I've been doing what I can to rebuild it." Kyouga said to Shiko before another garganta opened with another Gillian coming out this time and immediately charged after Shiko from behind, but Kyouga gave Shiko and upper hand by blinding both of the Gillian's eyes with Bala.

Shikotsumyaku listened almost intently as the vasto lorde spoke his own name. The other words seemed larger and seemed to be that of a higher plan and something it was not that well in taking so it simply spoke

Kyo...uga

It spoke the name of the Lorde and aimed to keep it in memory. The conversation was short lived as another large beast attacked. It was disoriented by the strike given by Kyouga and Shikotsumyaku took advantage of this fully as it let both its teeth and claws dig deep into the neck and back of the opposing Gillian and tore from it a massive mass to devour.

Kyouga watched Shiko devour large masses from the other Gillian, and was relieved that he sensed no more holllows appearing in the immediate area. Kyouga came to a potential realization that Shiko could be a loyal ally in the future. For now, he just let Shiko feast to his fill. "If you want to get stronger, Shiko, I can train you personally if you would like." Kyouga said respectfully to Shiko.

Shikotsumyaku had taken the other gillian to the ground with an earthshaking thud as he continued to dug its claws into it. It then began to eat away at the other areas apart from the mask as it aimed to save that for the last. It continued to crew at the corpse as its eye looked over to the Vasto Lorde as he spoke once more. He spoke of training, training.

Shiko let its jaws part greatly as the teeth feel down onto the mask of the opposing gillian and crush it between the massive teeth as the hollow devoured the enemy into its own bone structure. It then slowly let his mouth open as its voice echoed out

Strong...er. Train...Shi..ko..

"Alright then, let's start with the basics. As a Gillian, you are able to fire a concentrated amount of energy from your mouth. This basic attack is called Cero. Later on, when you gain enough power to become a Vasto Lorde, you will be able to fire Cero from your hands. Go ahead and try firing a Cero at some rubble, Shiko" Kyouga said very clearly to Shiko.

"After you get used to using Cero, you will have to fight me to learn how to use your own special powers. These special powers are powers only you have and are what make you different from other hollows." Kyouga added to Shiko, explaining that there were some things that only Shiko would be able to learn.

The monster continued to listened to the words of the stronger one. He spoke of some sort of power that Shikotsumyaku had. It slowly let itself raise up till it was standing tall on its hind legs. It turned its massive skull toward the building in which it had knocked over and paused for a moment. It then let its mouth open and roared loudly but aside from that, nothing greater happened.

It repeated this action once more and the result was the same. It did this once more and again after that. After several more tries, it rose its fists up in a rage as it slammed them down onto the rubble time and time again, it threw its claws into the air and closed its mouth as a red orb appeared and then just as quickly disappeared as its mouth flung open as the beam violently erupted from the mouth down onto the rubble.

Kyouga expected a little better from Shiko, but it would have to do for now. He then waved his arm horizontally towards Shiko, causing a shockwave of darkness to shoot toward Shiko. Kyouga wasn't going to use his full power against Shiko, but he was going to force Shiko to fight and become stronger through training.

Shikotsumyaku watched as the rubble that it had lost its temper on was now reduced to burning ash and some tinier bits of rubble. It let out a low rumble once more as it then looked back at kyouga as he attacked him, the wave was sudden and quick as it struck the gillian as it was forced back slightly but bones jolted out from its legs and stabbed into the ground to halt its movement.

It then threw its head in the direction of the vasto lorde as another orb appeared in front of its mouth and as it opened, fired another cero.

Kyouga countered Shiko's Cero with his own and hit Shiko with some of the energy of his Cero in the process. If Shiko actually wanted to get anywhere in this fight, he would definitely have to try a lot harder than a simple Cero like that.

Shikotsumyaku let its arms throw themselves up as several bones protruded outward and crossed over one another to defend itself from the attack. Its rage was starting to grow as it threw its arms out and fling its head forward as it fired another cero at the vasto lorde and after that one was fired, he would aim to fire another.

Kyouga countered the two Cero exactly like the single one just a moment before. "You can fire as many Ceros at me that you want, but it won't make a difference. If that's all you can do, I'm going to leave." Kyouga said in a rather bored tone and was getting tired of only seeing this Gillian fire Cero.

Shiko was not amused as its newly found rage skill was no longer effective as it was. It rose its claws up and then let them come to slam down into the ground as it lowered its head and raised its tail as the organic skin like thing showed much more clearly on its back.

With no words to speak, it launches the organic missile from its spinal cord. This missile looks to have a face which is is actually used more for accuracy as it can turn in midair to follow the intended target. The explosion from the result is large and sporadic as it was aimed to strike the Vasto Lorde.

Spoiler:

Kyouga was surprised to see Shiko make use of his unique ability, and destroyed the missile with a well-aimed Cero. "That's it Shiko, your training is now complete." Kyouga stated to the Gillian in approval. Now it was up to Shiko to become stronger on his own.

The massive structure of bone and rage let its claws dig deep into the ground as the missile fired from its back. The missile fired with a force as it was soon countered by a cero which caused the missile itself to rear off its intended course and off in some other direction which happened to be a ruined building. As Kyouga spoke about the training being complete, it was followed by the hit of the missile as the building and quite a few around it were engulfed in flames.

Spoiler:

"mindless"

A kind voice was heard from behind the two beings. soon after the voice, tendrils of light began to surround and caress the build as the destruction soon ceased- No. That was incorrect. To say that the destruction was stopped would mean that it occured in the first place, What appeared to happen with the building was it was warping and causing it to revert back to the way it was moments ago. The people who were inside remained safe. In fact the was the tendrils were it was almost as though they were to cause anguish and despair of the humans to be non-existent.

With the deed done, the young girl caused the tendrils to vanish. She was dressed all in white, As white as her alabaster hair and eyes. The way she was it showed a hurt look on her face. This girl could be mistaken for being innocence incarnate. She stood there, virtually no reiatsu of any form was found from her form, Though what just happened made the situation about her unnerving... Even worrying.

"why do you cause such violence among others?"

Shikotsumyaku let its eyes wander as the sound of another caught its attention. It watched as the building that the missile was deflected to was not only halted but the effect reverted entirely. The Gillian slowly undug its claws from the ground as it stood up once more and turned its attention to the one that spoke out.

It was a tiny creature, far smaller and spoke about violence. The hollow would simply lean forward as its head turned to the side as its jaws would open wide as it released a mighty and thunderous roar in response.
