In the middle of the Desert

Lee kept himself in a straight fire track as he would, from time to time, take a gander back and the hollow was still on his tail or rather, on the tail of his trail. He kept his speed at a moderate pace as he actually wanted to hollow to catch up to him to see just what it looked like.

He was a shinigami, killing hollows was something he still took pride in and it was a job he continued doing. But this was in the human world, he was in the world of hollows so killing what ever hollow he came across just seemed wrong.

Unsatisfied with the distance between them now, Zaela picked up her speed and backed more energy behind her sonido, making her race across the sand and close the gap by half in only three spurts. When she slowed, Zaela squinted her eyes again, and this time she could just faintly make out the silhouette of the Shinigami.

At that, she couldn't help the smile that played on her mostly hidden face. It was starting to feel like they were playing some sort of children's game... and she was starting to enjoy it.

Lee continued to run as the distance between the two was closing, and closing fast. He would turn his helm to the side as he glanced back and then looked forward once more as he needed a more off approach but something that would still make sure he wasn't struck right off the bat.

With that, he let himself leap off the sands and turned around as he touched down once more, slamming his feet and hands onto the ground as it slowed him down dramatically and he then shot in the direction of the hollow and aimed to fire straight passed her side.

Kyouga stood up after hitting the ground (letting Lee get away as he pulled himself out of the sand), and sheathed his buster sword after reverting to his sealed state. Kyouga sensed Lee was much farther away now, and that Zaela was definitely following Lee. Kyouga simply decided to leave them be for the time being, and glanced toward Flair as if he was expecting her to say something. Kyouga then noticed that his chest was bleeding and getting light-headed. Upon pulling the sharp tooth out of his chest, Kyouga passed out with the pendent in his hand.
