She stated as she would be on one knee, her head not looking at the two, but at an angle in their direction, facing downwards

Lee was not alarmed by the doll at the front of the room. He had come to accept nothing as shocking upon his first few moments living among the dead. He smiled and got on the floor with one knee, reading aloud his pledge.

"I Lee Kazura, hereby pledge my loyalty to Captain Hinamatsuri and the First squad from here on. I will do my best to uphold the rules and the well being of others before myself. I will protect the Soul Society, both the Rukongai and Seireitei equally and train both myself, my sword, and my fellow comrades. To this oath, I swear."

Lee then got up and stared for a good few seconds at his captain. So far all of his greatness lied in his ambiguity, for Lee hadn't known much but what he'd heard of this man. Lee could only imagine his captains face. After pledging his oath, he felt a silent, awkward approval.

Entering the Captain's Recruitment Center, Shirayuki wasted no time after being directed to fill out the form on the clipboard.
