The City of Lights [Anyone is welcome]

Leam saw this movement,and jumped into the air quickly. 'Keep my distance,' he thought. "That whole thing of destroying me; is that a threat or a promise?" He smirked a bit, jumping back. His grip on his zanpakuto tightened. He watched carefully, it seeming as if he were trying to read her movements like a book. While oing so, he searched for an opening for an attack. If he tried, most likely, he would not succeed in a strike, so he began to examine for any opprotunities. Sighing, he shook his head. "Don't worry about it. I can get another shihakusho. I was just too careless." He seemed to mutter the last part, rather agrivated.

'dont test my Zampaktou Leam, its nothing to laugh about. i dont even have to directly attack you with it and it may kill you..." she said speaking the truth, hounetsu was a very peculiar zampaktou that had many bizarre and cruel tactics to killing an opponent. these tactics were not always looked at with liking in Mushasune's mind. it was brutal and devastating. however, she loved it as well. in real life threatening situations, hounetsu has never failed her. in almost all battle hounetsu as brought her victory.

Mushasune than realized than leam was watching her, as she usually watched other than she fought. she new he was looking for an opening, so she would give him one. it was a test to really understand his ability. she appeared behind him with a quick shunpo and slashed upward, but the thing was, she planned to hesitate after her slash just a bit. if he timed it right, he may get a nice torso shot at her. she wouldn't let it hit, but it was a test to see if he could notice the opening.

Leam was slashed, then he noticed the opening she had left. "Zvarri!" He went to swing for the torso, but at the last moment, he attempted a slash at her abdomen. "Don't hesitate purposely. It doesn't bring me any pride. In fact, it stomps on it a bit." Leam gave a frown of disapprovement. He didn't care who he was speaking to; he gave many of his sparring partners lectures. "If this were an actual fight, your hesitation would have allowed your opponent to strike at least twice." He wasn't interested to see if his attack hit, so he jumped back.

"two strikes? i would never allow that." she said avoiding both slashes, she may have given him an opening, but allowing a direct hit was not on her agenda. "dont get me confused by stepping on your pride, even though i have no real respect for pride. It was a test to see if you can pin point a moment for you to make a correct move rather than an idiotic one that the opponent can use against you. and from my perspective, you passed that test. if you keep impressing me like this you may be able to see my shikai. " she joked. "now come at me with everything you got, i want to see your full potential." she said with a crooked smile.

Leam nodded, focusing all of his energy into one strike. "Of course." He ran forward, keeping steady timing for his attack. Moving his sword to strike to the left, he quickly switched to the right, going in for a strike to the side. He focused all of the reiatsu he could draw out at this time. Before the attack had a direct hit, Leam coughed up blood. He over-exerted himself considering the attacks that landed upon him. He closed his eyes, dropping from their airbourne sparring grounds. His hand caught onto a treebranch, keeping him from falling to the ground. "Tch...!" He opened his eyes, breathing shallowly.

mushasune saw his first strike, saw the potential power he had in it. she merely concentrated some of her power into her defending stance this is it, this man just attacked me straight without any true motive to actually successfully hit me... she thought before he switched to the other side, her right. her eyes opened wide, he may actually hit her. she assumed to much, underestimated him. she closed her eyes, awaiting the slash, but she felt nothing, she opened her eyes to see leam bleeding out of his mouth, and after that he fell. she said nothing, but only shunpo'd to teh tree branch after sheathing her blade and picked him up, than dropping him to the ground. she used healing kido to heal some of the injuries, but she couldn't heal them all, she wasn't that skilled in healing kido.

"Leam, you shouldn't over exert yourself, one must know when enough is enough. I would have stopped the battle sooner if i new you were in this bad of shape.....I should have stopped it, i should have known" she said disappointing in herself. she mentally cursed at her self for this occurance. she should not have been so caught up in the battle, she felt guilty for hurting him, hurting her comrade.

Leam hissed at the stinging sensation he felt from the healing kido. Listening to her words, he laughed a bit, turning his head to face the captain. "Don't take the blame for it. It was my stupidity. I honestly need to stop being so hot-headed." He turned his head to look towards the sky. "Let's consider this little spar over." He smiled somewhat, attempting to sit up. Bringing a gloved hand up, he wiped the corner of his mouth free of the crimson liquid that he had coughed up.

She smiled and giggled, she was scared to tell the truth, she didn't want him to be too badly hurt. "than the least i can do is get you new cloths" she said laughing, helping Leam up. she smiled at him and gave him a gentle rub on the head. she liked this guy, he wasn't all that bad, open to say his mistakes, however she thought it was more her fault than his, but she took his soft words into consideration.

she than remembered the presence, the one that she had believed to be a spy, she looked around for the presence's energy again. she was slightly concerned about why this person had been watching them. she than looked at Leam, "im really impressed, i wish i had a man like you in my division, it would save me the hassle of having to do all the work myself, but it looks like you have made your home in the second, and i can't see why they wouldn't want you in their ranks. your a skilled shinigami with great potential. you should notice that." she said with another seductive smile.

Leam chuckled a bit. "Like I said, don't worry about it." He looked at the tattered remains of his shihakusho, giving a light sigh. "It's not... too bad." He was lying through his teeth, and it was obvious. Now adjusted to the pain, he stood up. "You'd like me to be in your diviision?" Leam gfave a long pause. "Well, I could switch back and forth from the Second to the Tenth everyday." He chuckled a bit, trying his best to fix himself up. "I'm capable of doing something as small of a task as that." He walked away abruptly. Leam, now away from all others, quickly switched his shihakusho to a new, untarnished one. He sighed, throwing the tattered top away. He used shunpo to return, giving a sigh. "Now that that's over with, is there anything else, Captain?"

She chuckled at his modesty towards the condition of his cloths. they were obviously ruined, but she liked the comical side of him. "i would like it if you visited me every once in awhile, your a good person leam, wouldn't mind your company every now and than, or your assistance for that matter." she said as she saw him leave, only to see him return with new cloths, with a shocked face she said, "i bet the ladies would love you if you could get your cloths off as fast as you can get them on." she said giving him a playful punch on the arm.

she than listened when he asked for anything else she woudl like to say. the image of this 'spy' was still on her mind, but she didn't want leam to further intensify his condition. "other than i hope i see you again? no, nothing else." she said kindly with a cute smile, not seductive for a change.

"Yes, of course." Leam rolled his eyes to her comment about his speed in changing clothes. "My record is ten seconds." He gave a laugh after saying that. "But thank you for the...ah...compliment?" Leam laughed a little more. "Yes, of course." After a moment, his gigai returned. He smiled somewhat, returning to his gigai. "I won't lie. In our spar, I hesitated until the final attempted strike." Leam closed his eyes. "It's not out of disrespect. I can promise you that much."

after her gigai resturned she said, "im sure it wasn't out of disrespect, i have no doubts that the cause of it was that." she said with a smile. she than put leam into an arm lock, it was a friendly notion, one that she didn't do to many. Sure she flirted with pretty much everyone (it was just her personality) but she never really showed this acceptable and kindhearted side of her. "you should get back. ill see you there later." she said with a smile. her attention than changed to the exact direction of the source of power, whatever it was...it was still there.

Leam was baffled at the sudden action. After being released, he straightened himself up. Pivoting on one foot, he put a hand in the air. "Seems I've made a friend out of a captain." He chuckled a bit, walking away. "Let's just hope our next meeting isn't..." He paused to think of the proper words. "Interrupted by a watchman." He laughed. Leam knew exactly by scent where their viewer was, he just didn't wish to run the fun. "I'll see you later, then." With that being said, he left.
