Back To The Beginings

*when she comes back she looks at Hanzo blankly, and than dropps the berries*

"Are you okay?! Your like bleeding! And injuried!Don't die!!!"

*she takes one of he's arms and shakes it violently with a DX face yelling don't die*

"Hey hey HEY!" Hanzo grumbles as she shakes his arm violently "I'm fine, its not like its my blood!"

Pushing her away he drops the dead pig on the floor next to him and sighs

"You good at cooking?"

"EH...cooking?" she looks at the pig she walks over and looks at it.
"You have a knife or a sharp blade? We also need fire and sticks. First we need to skin it'

(Im going to marching band soon DX)

"I'll deal with the fire, here take my sword to skin it" He says as he throws his sword at her

*She takes the sword and wipes it on her sleeve and than carefully skins the pig. After she cuts pieces of meat*

"Okay so we just stick them on branches and cook them"

"You were scarily good at doing that..." Hanzo looks at her with an eyebrow raised as she begins to cut the pig into bits

Blowing at the light flame on the twigs he finally gets it going, a steady fire and smoke fills the woods.

"I guess, I watched people do this in the woods. Better to learn than do nothing."

*She piereces the meat with the stick and puts them over the fire* "in a couple minutes we can eat them"

Licking his lips as the meat cooked over the fire Hanzo's stomach began to growl once again

"Souls are never meant to suffer hunger or fatigue, but we suffer from both, is it just me or is that a little odd that we seem to suffer from both of these ailments.."

She laugha a bit, " well maybe we arent souls. We might be somethin more than mere souls"

she takes the meat out of the fire and hands one to hanzo. "enjoy"

"Something more... I have considered the possibility..."

Tearing away at the meat with his teeth, he chews it and swallows as he tries to compliment her cooking

"Thismmmis...sommmtasty.."

"i hope it is" *she takes a bite herself and chews it an swallows*
"its okay i guess. I guess its cause its jjust plain meat."

Burping so loudly that the woods echo from the noise Hanzo wipes his mouth with his sleeve

"Pheww im stuffed" He grins as he pats his stomach, he notices her thinking to herself, could the talk of becoming shinigami have gotten to her

"But what purpose would it be for us to become shinigami... i mean we have no real reason to right?"

"well sometimes in life we really dont need a reason. But I heard shinigamis are strong with powers. And they are wealthy. Maybe if we get that, we wont be hungry all the time. And protecting souls will be easier with powers. I even heard, that if your lucky a noble will adopt you."

*she stares at her food*

"A noble adopting a stray Rukon dog?" Hanzo laughs

"I like your optimism kid, ah well for now we sleep under the stars of this forgotten sky, tomorrow we'll make a start to the gotei 13"

*she nods wih a smirk and lays down and looks at the sky*
"your q good person hanzo-san" She instantly falls asleep

"Thanks kid" he patted her on the head as she fell asleep
Stabbing his sword into the ground, he leans up against it and closes his eyes.

-well i guess next morning-

*she wakes up to see the sun gpeaming in her eyes. Slowely sitting up and rubbimg her eyes she looks at hanzo*
"guess i woke up first." *she gets up and starts stretchig

"Finally awake eh?" Hanzo opens one eye as she stretches

"I never went to sleep... i keep having an odd dream about a wolf recently... but enough about that, lets get moving"

Stretching as well he picks up his sword and points it in front of them

"Onwards to the Gotei 13!" he looks at her smiling "It is this way right?"

"werid..." she stands behind him and points in a different direction*
"i thought it was this way"

"Thattaway then" Hanzo points in the same direction as he and her begin the long hike to soul society

"Say i wonder how we get in once we're there..."

"I'm sure they must have a gate or something, I mean how else would they get new shinigamis. I've only seen it once, but didn't get much detail of how it looks"

*She walks alongside him*

Patting her on the head he smiles

"Well from what i hear theres a school where we get tested"

"You think your up for the challenge kid?"

*She looked at him and smiled*

"Sure I am!......what's a test?"
