Personality: Kurewa is a very proud individual who just loves to fight. Despite his active disposition, Kurewa is pretty decnt and easy-going guy. Kurewa is the type that likes to have fun, and he prefers to be around people who won't discriminate him on his race. For Kurewa, chewing on a bone is likely to make him happy any day. Since he's half wolf, Kurewa has a strong sense of loyalty to his superiors.
Story: Kurewa was born on a far away planet that was at war, but he moved to Earth after the war had ended. Upon coming to Earth, he came to live in Karakura Town. Unfortunately, people were always discriminating him and making fun up him being half-wolf. Many times this discrimination really angered him, and often got him into trouble. Yet, Kurewa soon got really lonely and found that stray dogs were the only beings that seemed to bother to give him company most of the time. Ocasionably, there would be a few humans that would give him attention and talk to him in a civil manner. Kurewa dearly enjoyed the company of these particular humans, because they treated him so fairly. Unfortunately, he had no home to go to at all until on day...

Kurewa was walking around Kurakara's park when he felt an incredibly strong presence neaby. "Could it be a friend or a foe?" Kurewa asked as grabbed his sword. "It really depends with side you're on, young warrior." a white haired shota said from behind Kurewa as he gripped his arm, preventing him from unsheathing his sword. This man was Kyouga Walker, and he had some interest in Kurewa. "Who and what are you...?" Kurewa asked the strange man as he let go of the hilt of his sword, and Kyouga sonidoed in-front of the guy. "Oh, I'm an Arrancar known as Kyouga Walker. Who would you be, young wolf?" Kyouga asked politely after he bowed before Kurewa upon introducing himself. "The name's Kurewa Hangard, nice to meet ya!" Kurewa said energetically as he shook Kyouga hand like a man. Kyouga apparently felt that Kurewa was spiritually strong. "Nice grip, Kurewa. You're really strong, so you must be from a different world." Kyouga said to Kurewa, surprised that he was so strong. "Hahaha! Yeah, I just came to this planet a few months ago. Wait.. Did you say that you're an Arrancar?" Kurewa asked after explaining things. Kyouga really made Kurewa happy because he wasn't judging Kurewa at all, but Kyouga seemed like a mysterious man. "It's a long and complicated story, Kurewa-San, but you seem to not have a home of your own. If that's true, then you can come live with me." Kyouga said in a caring tone. This seemed really touch Kurewa's feelings, and he embraced Kyouga in a bear hug as he cried tears of joy. "Thank you, Kyouga...." Kurewa cried as he hugged Kyouga with tremendous strength. Kyoiuga kindly patted Kurewa on the back, and he put Kyouga down as he finished expressing his happiness towards him. "Okay, follow me." Kyouga said calmly as he opened a Garganta, leading Kurewa into it with him. It was after this event that Kyouga would become his master and best friend.
