Fallen, But I’ll Stand Tall once again

Lights flickering and shadows taunting,
Hopes dying and failures haunting.
Sitting alone on deserted ground,
All around rain began to pound.

Failure struck its blows unceasingly,
Suicide beckons to me increasingly.
The sweet temptation to end it all,
The strong urge to let myself fall.

Maybe I should just give it all up,
Drink dark euphoria from a cup.
Joy from me had since been stolen,
Depression to me has now befallen.

But a bright light, to me it called,
And I stood rooted deeply enthralled.
Encouragements to me it cried,
Demons of my heart began to hide.

The light shone brightly by my side,
And the demons began to fade inside.
It told me to do my best once more,
Taunts and jeers I must learn to ignore.

The world is there for me to explore,
There will again be a day I can soar.
I will destroy despair’s bleak chain,
And I will stand tall once again.

really liked it especially the beggining it. Stood out more in my mind and the words you used to show the emotion and the way you used the rain to show the depression.

Out of all the poems you posted this is my favorite. The ending is great. I just wish I can be as half talented as you are in poetry. But I'm suck at this. :P

This is very, very good and very, very, very, very depressing. Even with the uprising part at toward the end, it just makes everything hopeless as well as pointless
