This is as the title suggests about quotes, they can be from anywhere no restrictions.

My favourite quote is from a book called Dune by Frank Herbert, some of you may have read it or at least seen the movie or mini series.
"I must not fear, fear is the mindkiller, it is the little death that bringd total obliteration, i will turn and face my fear, i will let it pass over me and through me, with my inner eye i will follow my fear, in the end only i will remain"

I hope a few of you like it and will quoteyour own favourites too

I dont know about my number one, but one that means a lot to me is from the song Hands Held High by Linkin Park.

One of my favourites would be; "Power can be obtained by any means - but it must be used wisely and cautiously".

Quoted from the KH (Korean History) Drama - Yi San.

The guy who said it was an Official in the King's Court, he ended up abusing his power, this ultimately lead to his death.

    I cried.

can i quote my great self? Kidding

i'll quote the greatest physics teacher there is, he told this to us back on the first day of our senior year

"Though no one can go back and make a brand new start; anyone can start from now to make a brand new ending" -Chris Montarde

I'm not sure if it really came from him, but that's the only quote i know. it didnt mean much to me, but it makes perfect sense.

I have so many, but I will tell you the one that comes to mind right now, its been one of my favorite quotes for a long time, and I am not going to make it some of the obvious ones...

    But, I love this one...

"Sometimes we love someone so much we need to be numb to it, because if we actually felt how much we loved them, it would kill us."
-Brittany Murphy as Fay in Riding In Cars With Boys

I love that quote, because... especially for me... that has always been really true. I think that I want love so much that when I really care for someone, I just kinda turn it off because I dont want to hurt, even when I am with them. I just tend to not show too much emotion, even if I want to.

This is a quote from a series of books I read a while back, can't remember which book it was but it was Stephen King's Dark Tower series:

"Time is a face on the water."

I'm reading Duma Key at the moment, and I found this little poem in there, no idea who wrote it but I'd quite like to find out:

"Speak, memory, that I may not forget the taste of roses nor the sound of ashes in the wind; That I may once more taste the green cup of the sea."

The year before his death, the French painter Eugene Delacroix held an exhibition in which he showed 200 new pictures, many of them very large. After his death, he left more than 6,000 drawings and engravings as well as paintings.

"What makes men of genius, or rather, what they make, is not new ideas; it is the idea by which they are obsessed that what has been said has still not been said enough." EUGENE DELACROIX (1798-1863)

Ah, I have 2 political quotes for you that I love...

"When the people fear the government, there is tyranny; when the government fears the people, there is liberty"
    -Thomas Jefferson

And this is a classic one...

Lucille Ball was accused once of being a communist, her husband was on the Tonight Show with Johnny Carson, I believe, I could be wrong in the way I am remembering it, but I am pretty sure.

Whenever he asked him if Lucy was a Communist or not, this was his response...

"The only thing red about Lucy is her hair, and that isn't even real."
