Description: This is a casual technique by Izaya and his personal favorite. Izaya can create a spark when he snaps his fingers together. Using his flame-like reiatsu, Izaya raises the density of the oxygen between himself and his opponent. This creates a narrow and volatile pathway of oxygen between himself and his target through which he can direct the ensuing flash fire that blossoms from the spark of his fingers. Izaya is able to delegate each hand to a different flame effect, the right hand allows for large explosive attacks, while the left allows for smaller, but strong and very accurate pinpoint flame attacks.

This creates a narrow and volatile pathway of oxygen between himself and his target through which he can direct the ensuing flash fire that blossoms from the spark of his fingers. Izaya is able to delegate each hand to a different flame effect. The right hand allows for large and powerful, but inaccurate explosive attacks, while the left allows for smaller and less powerful, but very accurate pinpoint flame attacks. This technique can’t be used when it’s raining and it’s not very effective if the opponent is surrounded by a large volume of water. This technique, although swift, is dependent upon the situation. The right hand is suited for long-range situations, while the left hand is suited for mid-range. If this technique is used in close proximity to Izaya, regardless of which hand is being used, the effects of the explosion will also reach Izaya. Because of the difference in power from each hand, since the left hand releases the less powerful attacks, this technique can be used instantly. However, since the right hand releases the highly explosive and more powerful attack, it has a hefty recharge time of 8 posts.

State: Bankai

Description: Sōdai Kagayaku Hakkō Taiyō draws a full flaming circle in front of itself using the tips of its blades. If any flames come into contact with this circle, its power is halved and absorbed into the Bankai itself to increase its own power. This technique has another effect that applies strictly to water/ice. This circle boils any form of water which comes close to it, including ice, and turns it into harmless steam in front of the Bankai.
Downside: The weakness of this technique when it comes to absorbing flames, is that if Izaya has less than the amount of spiritual power that the attacker has placed into the attack, then the flame circle will be smothered and cause Izaya’s Bankai to suffer the full brunt of the oncoming attack. This can cause serious damage to the Bankai and prevent this technique from being used again in the battle. This effect also applies to water/ice based attacks. In that case, the flame circle would be extinguished while leaving Izaya open to the full attack.
Name: Gekina Haikumo (元気な灰雲, Vibrant Ash Cloud)
State: Bankai
Terms of Usage: No special conditions
Description: This is Izaya’s most lethal technique. This technique causes Izaya’s Bankai to explode into a large, pink plume of smoke, which contains microscopic remnants of reishi in the form of spores. These spores, however, can be seen by the naked eye within the plume because of reishi’s bright properties (resembles a twinkling light). The manner that this explosion occurs in leaves Izaya untouched by the smoke cloud, but only by 5 feet. This cloud of smoke fans out for the length of exactly one football field. However, the cloud of smoke itself isn’t what’s dangerous, it’s the thousands of spores of reishi that are left within the cloud that makes it lethal. These spores, once having been carried by the cloud of smoke in the initial explosion, will make contact with the opponent’s entire body in a similar way to dust particles and can also be inhaled. These spores explode very violently when ignited from either an internal or external source.
Downside: The downside to this technique is that it can easily be countered or reflected if the opponent somehow immediately redirects the cloud of smoke around themselves, reflects it back on Izaya himself, or somehow manages to get some of those explosive spores on Izaya. Izaya can only use this technique once, and by doing so, loses access to Bankai for 3 whole days.
Here is a more simplified version of what my last technique does.
This is what my Bankai looks like:
In my third ability, that entire thing turns into a large cloud of smoke and expands outward (football field length). Like this:
This is what the explosion looks like from an outside perspective. When the Bankai turns into that cloud of smoke, this is how it would look from an outside perspective (that white orb in the middle is Izaya and everything around it is the smoke).
There's thousands of explosive particles in the cloud of smoke that look like tiny flashing lights (just like stars almost):
Now, if I were to do something like set the cloud of smoke on fire with a kido or do something as simple as making a spark by dragging my sword on the ground near the cloud, then all of those tiny star-like particles will will ignite and explode.
