    Post by Fallen_Angel Mon Dec 15, 2008 12:18 am

Hey... I need a program that fits the following Criteria:

    • Is free
    • Can create your own multi-layered music tracks
    • You don't have to record the instruments yourself (as I don't have any)

Something like Dance eJay... except I'd need it to be more for rock music and it needs to be free >.<

    Can anyone help? :)

"Do things like that even exist for ROCK music?" =S

<.< "Why can't you just kee it to dance huh? JK"

"I'm not sure but I think you can make guitarsounds with guitarpro, it ain't free though so you'll need to torrent it or so. Though not sure if it even does this, just something I thought it could do?"

"And even if it could, you'd still need some editing program like Nero 8 to paste it all into one track and edit it =]"

"Hope I was of some help FA?"

Hmmm... GuitarPro... I'll see about that. Thanks, Con!

I'm still looking for other solutions, though, if anyone magically knows if such a program exists XD

"Don't shoot me though if it doesn't work xD"

"And there's some other program too, but I forgot the name sulk , I remember it letting you place notes etc and then the program would play them in the chosen instrument =D

i've been searching for programs like that for years time now, recording my songs and all.

i stumbled upon a software called virtual DJ, i just loved the idea of being a DJ virtually, its paid for though, but i think they give free demo's, and i think they hup instrument loops too.

You actually can, but only in .WAV format ... Huge file =/
I use Reason myself, although it isn't great for guitar sounds. For that, I plug in my guitar :P

Hmm, if you want free stuff, there are always free-ware, software's for free, kinda like gimp for photo editing, i'm just not sure about sound recording software's, so fare, the ones i've downloaded are not that good, or maybe just not what i was looking for.

If you want good quality recording program i'm suggesting adobe audition, not free but worth.

or sonic foundry, nothing is really for free though
aggh, let me research on those.

CON: well, the one i downloaded was a mess, but the one i got, in a disc(but its a demo) was actually pretty good.

i think they have those on rapidshare... >.<

    Crapz...

downloaded them but it seems you can't get it to work on Vista home premium 64 bit version. It says I need ASPI drivers but those aren't needed on vista and thus I can't get the program to work. Neither dance ejay7 nor virdual dj work -_-"

ah well, still got my beloved Nero 8 ^^

Guitarpro isn't great for making high quality music ... It's a help to play guitartabs, so you can hear how it has to sound.

Found another program which lets you make make every possible style there is.

Try looking for a torrent of 'FL studio 8 developer edition' on piratebay or any other torrent site ^^. what's even better is that it's only 130mB so you won't be downloading too long to get it =D

And for y'all who don't like illegal software, you can always download the demo which features all off the features of the full version (except for the save project function xD) though you can still save as a song =]

    Hope this may help?

Yeah, I'd suggest to read the help file or find some FAQ's on the internet 'cause it's one damned difficult program to operate <.<"

Have been trying to understand it for like 3 hours but I'm not further then making patterns XD

on the other hand, I ish still downloading some hardstyle samples so I should be starting soon on the real work ^^
