Birth & Death
Souji was born over 500 years ago to unknown parents. As he got older, it was evident that the child had a unique ability to see things such as spirits, ghosts, and weird creatures with masks. Nobody believed him of course, because he was a child. He pushed it off as if it were a dream and continued on with his life. He went to school and graduated high school at the age of 17. He wanted to go to college, however he couldn't afford it and he went off to look for a job. However, it took him over 2 years to find a job and after he turned 19, he began working at a restaurant near his home. One day while working, someone broke into the restaurant and murdered every worker there, except Souji. Souji met his fate, however, while out on a delivery a few months after the incident when one of the creatures with masks attacked him. The attack was believed to be a bear attack and the case was closed. His soul lingered to the living world because he had regrets about the murder case. He haunted the murders until some people in black came to him. The released him from his regrets and allowed him to cross over to the soul society as they called it.
Yu Narukami is Born
Upon arriving into the soul society, Souji had lost all of his memories prior to his arrival. He had no memories of his name, who his family was, or how he died. He woke up on the streets of the Rukongai in a tattered gray kimono. He was taken in by the elder of one of the Rukon Districts until a shinigami had found him. He had great potential he had told him and offered him a way into the academy, which he accepted, however, he had no name. The shinigami then went on to give him a name for him to use. Yu Narukami. The boy loved the name, and accepted it as his now permanent name.
Shinigami Academy & Present
Yu went on to the academy on the request of the shinigami. He trained constantly with his new zanpakto and his kido abilities. He was terrible with his kido abilities, which earned him the nickname No Good Yu. He ignored the nickname and made it be a way to make him work harder, so he could get rid of that nickname. He eventually became somewhat better with his kido abilities and earned his way into graduating the academy and going to the soul society to find a division to join. The one division that sparked his interest since his days in the academy, was squad 3.
RP Sample:
Yu took a step out into the sunlight from the shade under the large tree he was standing under. He had lost track of time due to dozing off earlier.
"Crap, I'm going to be in trouble" He thought to himself as he started running towards the soul society. He couldn't believe he had let himself get so tired under the tree. He wondered if it was a trait he carried over from his past life or if he was just beginning to get lazy. He chuckled a little as he continued towards the soul society to register for the 3rd division.
Your Zanpakuto: {To be able to use technique, Shikai and Bankai, knowledge and know how must be acquired in-game)
Zanpakuto Name: Thanatos
Sealed Appearance: Thanatos' sealed appearance is that of a normal zanpakto. The hilt is white and black in color and the sheath is pure white with black stripes near the bottom. On the hilt is a small chain with a little coffin attached to the end of it.
Zanpakuto Spirit Description: Thanatos appears as a sort of bringer of death. It has no real face and is seen always with a demonic mask on. Attached to his back by chains, are floating coffins with angels on them. His right hand is a normal hand while is left hand has the appearance of a blade.
Shikai
Shikai Release Phrase: Reap, Thanatos!
Released Appearance: Chains will appear wrapped around the users waist. The lower jaw of Thanatos forms around the neck of the user as well.

Bankai
Release Phrase: Bring Judgement Down Onto Them! THANATOS!
Released Appearance: Small coffins form on the users shoulders. Both coffins hold something, but is unknown what they hold. A large chain is attached to the users back, connecting to 4 large coffins floating behind. His left arm becomes a large blade and his waist coat is wrapped around his waist. Thanatos' mask forms over the users face like a visor.
Other Changes: The users voice becomes more raspy, almost demonic.
Abilities (Max 12, you can add/unlock as you progress, but to be able to use technique, you must acquire it in-game)
Name: Tempest Slash
State: Shikai & Bankai
Terms of Usage: The move is activated, but can only be used at night.
Description: Tempest Slash draws on the energy from the moon. It is strongest on the night of a full moon and a new moon. The blade turns a bright yellow in color and when is slashed around, it leaves a trail of white or yellow light. It's just a normal slash with added power from the moon.
Name: Ghastly Wail
State: Bankai
Terms of Usage: Can be done without being called
Description: Due to the spirits mask being full formed on Yu's face, he can open the mask to form a very loud wail that can be heard within a 20 mile radius around him. It only harms those whom he intends it to harm and the most damage it can do is give people the fear of losing themselves. It induces insanity and fear onto others.
Name: Ziokaja
State: All
Terms of Usage: Must call out Ziokaja in order to be performed
Description: The ability just calls forth electric energy into the users zanpakto in any state. It can also strike a user with a stream of electricity instead of going into the blade.
