The Dead Shogun

The Captain and commander wouldn't have believed it if he hadn't saw the body himself. There the shogun lie cold on the ground, pretty much lifeless. Brutally murdered, and the perpetrator said to be the Dai-Shogun, brother and trusted companion of the Shogun.
. "Who else knows of this?" was Hanzo's first question. The recruit replied. "Only you, sir." Hanzo turned to his men and gave them an order he didn't want to give, but had to. "Detain Minamoto." Hanzo wasnt sure if he made the right decision, but having the former 8th division captain cause a rampage would be something he didnt want happening. He was gonna keep this from her for as long as he could, until he could figure things out on his own.
His men left, only leaving him with the recruit. "By Minamoto sir, do you mean the Shogun's wife?" Hanzo ignored the question and proceeded with a question of his own. "Where did the Daishogun go?"
The least he could do was talk to his friends murderer, but the recruit was unwilling to do so. "I... I can't, sir, it's too dangerous for you." the recruit was right by all means, what could a dying old man do against a young powerful vizard who only just killed his master? But he saw the look on the recruits face, the recruit was scared to death, and the only way to relieve him from this fear is death it's self, something which Sanba never gave him. Which could only mean one thing.
"He's here." Hanzo declared, seeing the recruits only growing tension. Birds flew from the trees, a few seconds later, the recruit was already falling on the ground lifeless.
Hanzo could only witness the murder, his eyes wide on Sanba in shock. His reiatsu flared up, but Sanba kept his calm, it even made Hanzo wonder how he could keep his cool like that, after killing the Shogun. Hanzo calmed himself.
"You... What are you doing?"
Sanba only gave him an uncaring smirk. "The dead is dead after all, I merely set another soul free, I did justice here."
Hanzo felt his calm melt, but fighting Sanba would not do anyone good. "How could you do this to your brother, your leader, have you no shame on the Yukimura name?"
Sanba laughed this time. "I dont remember giving any honor to it either way, why should the opposite be any worst?"
This was when he saw it, the thread of reality snapping from one's thought, a thing he saw many times in war, this Shinigami was lost to them.
Hanzo then wondered when Haji came across this realization, maybe he realized too late, maybe just hours ago, and decided to make a move on it, but he was too late, and got killed. Thoughts flooded Hanzo's brain, trying to make sense of Sanba's new reality.
Sanba then walked away, slowly, as if mocking Hanzo. "I'm leaving now, take care old man."
Just like that, Sanba vanished, and Hanzo let him go.
He knelt before the dead body of his friend in question. "What would you have done if you were in my position?"
The Captain and commander gathered all the captains for an urgent meeting, and as one by one they arrived, he gave them a respectful glance, asking them to take a seat before breaking the news to them.
The grounds shook every once in a while, roaring sounds came in waves as if there was an on going war from the distant lands. Them sky mirrored Hueco Mundo and this bothered the Captain and Commander most. After the shoguns death, the shakes began, and catastrophic events started happening in the living world, but he didnt think they were connected, not till a few days ago, when one shinigami spotted the Dai-Shogun fleeing the scene of a tidal wave.
"This will be the last meeting the Gotei 13 will have with me as the Captain and Commander." Hanzo started removing his eyes from the sky for the very first time since the meeting's start. "As you may all have heard, the Shogun of heaven has fallen, and heaven is in Chaos as we speak. The perpetrator is non other than the Dai-Shogun, Sanba Yukimura, The shoguns own brother murdered him in cold blood."
A few captains protected the Dai-shogun by voicing there options, but it didn't change the fact that the shogun was dead, and Sanba was at the scene. He cleared his throat to get to the point. "The Shogun's murder has nothing to do with Gotei 13 affairs, and you cannot pursue the Dai-shogun, even if it is to clear his name. No one should investigate this matter." he said, before opening his eyes to finish the statement. "So as my last act as Captain and Commander of Gotei 13, i here by disband Gotei 13 as an organization."
Just like that Hanzo left the room in silence, but the silence did not last long, not long after he left, a few captains argued alongside each other, if Gotei 13 was no more, they they were no longer in charge of anything, nor should they stay in the sideline, they can do whatever they please, and it meant going against the order of not getting involve.
If they had read what's on the Captain and Commanders order, they they would've known that he wanted them to disobey heavens order, it would mean that he himself wanted to get involve to take vengeance on his friends death.
Ootori Hanzo wanted them to be free, to be able to do something, and thus, the disbandment of Gotei 13.

Catastrophes

Catastrophes were staged by the Dai-Shogun to appear natural. Floods, landslides, earthquakes, meteor showers, volcanic eruptions, heat waves, and famine.
All humans believed this to be the end of life in its self, the Armagedon as they call it. Science could neither explain nor decipher what the causes were, no prophet couldn't scream louder, "THE END IS HERE!"
And the Prophets were right, for an end was certain, it was just not over for the humans. "The world shall die." Sanba says, before he launches for Japan. High up in the clouds, he stood a pillar in the skies, he jumps down at unbelievable speed, the sea acted like magnets attracted to his acceleration, they followed him until they reached shores, but the waters were not enough, Sanba did this several more times, but this did not suffice his greed for death, he unleashed his zanpakuto and attacked the sea it's self, they reacted by causing an impossibly larger wave. This was when a group of people saw him, but he did not stay long, nor to explain nor listen to anyone, he had his missions, and his reasons, he did not need to explain to anyone, even if the person was the Shoguns wife.
He attacked the other continents the same way, he attacked meteors from a distant, but they were no match against his zanpakuto, they fell, headed towards earth, they mostly landed on Europe, setting the continent aflame and flooded.
Most of north america sank down the atlantic, the southern part flooded billions dead and the living, barely alive with diminishing resources.
Australia experienced famine as did Africa, when everyone thought it was the safest place to be, they were wrong, They held the largest death toll out of all the countries, it seemed, they experienced a slow death, like placed under the oven for too long, they were drained, burned more likely to death.
After all the Catastrophes, human survived, diminished in numbers, but somehow, still alive for some reason.
There was no Messiah, there was no eternal life, there was no salvation, and they could only rely on them selves, and them selves alone. This was when the world ended, but life did not

He who held the 'thing' held the world, in his hands rested the fate of the worlds, the very thing that made things possible, the creation it's self in a form of an hourglass. And it rested on his palms. The Dai-Shogun rode the clouds bloodied from a battle he fought not so long ago, the time was almost up, this was his punishment for killing his brother, for stealing everything from everyone, for stealing, an hourglass which held very little meaning to him.
Just a few inches away from him stood another man, not a man, not a monster, not anything, nothing. Lucifer, it called it's self, wearing a sly smile on its face, its palm spread wide expecting to receive the item which he stole.
Sanba handed it over worry crossing his face for a mili-second, he killed his brother for this, but for what reason? Power? He had power, he had family, he had wealth, what else could he want? This thoughts crossed his head as he fought against his weakened state.
When he realized what was going on, it was already too late, Lucifer cut through him deep, thus taking his life along the process. His act was over, his punishment given, he's killed enough, he thought, he killed his brother, but could not go forth to killing his brothers wife, not her, not when she begged for it, not for when she cried her heart to him, not when she cut him seriously, she wanted her to hate him enough to kill him her self, yet, she couldn't, not like that.
She left him, but death was just around the corner for him, as he closed his eyes, he was gone....
Lucifer held the hourglass in his palm, small, and easily breakable, he wondered how such a small item was capable of doing what it does. He eyed his fathers familiar as it burst open a portal from the horizon, a majestic beast flung out angrily and violently as if restrained. "WHAT HAVE YOU DONE!" The beast spoke in many voices.
Lucifer eyed it innocently. "It's too late Old Man." he said. The beasts eye widened upon the realization of what now sat on Lucifers hands, he's stolen that item, the item of all Gods.
Bright life escaped the small item, covering the entire world as if to cleanse all of it from all the deaths that had occurred. When the light left, it was replaced by darkness that would last for 3 days.
The Familiar was gone together with his father, they were no longer connected by anything other than blood, but they can no longer chase after him, for from that time on, the world was his, and he was it's God.
"Now then." Lucifer grumbled. "What do we do with this lack of light, it would be bothersome for anyone to notice..." He whined, as 4 shadows followed him in to the desserts.

3 days of darkness

For 3 days, darkness was all everyone knew of, with what catastrophe's happened, what more could there be? Humans cowered in fear, but some act cautiously, lurking in the dark, aware that something else was going on, and as instincts told them, they search for the cause.
The US government fled to the sea, but something attacked them, a giant monstrosity believed to be a Kraken, or as what the government called them, the Nova.
Detaining it cost thousands of lives, and killing it was impossible, that's what the government thought, not until, after hours of debate, they chose a suitable candidate to replace the late president, and it was non other than his own son, Andy McDowell-Mann Jr.
Unlike his father, they believe they can manipulate him, and they were gonna use him to their own advantage.
On a closed door meeting, it took hours of convincing to plant the idea on his head, and as he bent, they've won, but he came up with his own cards the moment he accepted. "The Pandora Project." He mouthed, a project they all terminated several months ago.
The Pandora Project was the result of countless research from human genetics and the creature they called Nova. The project involved human experimentation, and thus was branded taboo by the majority.
But as Andy defended him self, the project was supported by his father till his very last breath, and in his will, he wanted his son to continue the project on whatever measures possible.
The professor in charge explained what the pandoras were in detail, handing them paper work, research materials and a video presentation.
Andy was sure of an upcoming war with the east, with what little forces they had left, he couldn't let that window of opportunity left unguarded.
When the kraken escaped the bounds of man, it headed towards the new presidents direction, and as expected from the Pandora, they defeated the creature and left everyone in awe, everyone was saved, and not long after, the sun came back.

The Sun

Fire burned the skies, out of nothing, fire burned furiously, continuously, very much like the sun, strong enough to light the new world, something moved it, slow and precise, like magnet, attracted to the world. There was light again, and it was as if the world has returned to it's original state, but it's not the same. Something was causing this strange phenomenon.
The 4 Elements stood side by side as they waited patiently over the fiery inferno of the new sun. Out of nothing, an ice throne formed seemingly unaffected by the heavy flames surrounding it, the 4 looked back and saw their leader in a vision of black. Lucifer was home.
"Now then, where is the 5th?" He asked them a question before taking a seat, they all kept silent, he shook his head untiringly. If they had him in the first place, he would be here, so they lost him again. Lucifer shook his head.
"You all did well." he praised them feeling like a real God for the first time, but little did he know, there was bad news from his elements.
"Your brother, he is in the living world too." one said, the bald guy with a huge frame, he looked like the leader of the group.
"So i see." Lucifer said. "So it's war then, he better bring his all, cause if he doesn't, he will die."
"That's not the only thing Lucifer-sama" chico continued. "He's not the only one, there are also other demons present in this world."
