Hurricane Irene

If you guys haven't known there's a hurricane sweeping across the eastern coast of North America right now. Since I live in New york. And I'm in the East Coast...like legit it'll most likely hit us. I don't know how bad it's going to be, this is like my first hurricane so if I don't respond most likely the hurricane gave us a power out or something.

My dad's all like "We don't have to do anything." But i'm still just like... a teen with no natural disaster exprience than the Virginia earthquake aftershock exprience. So Wish me luck...cause I'm scarred...

And to anyone else expriencing or going to exprience it good luck. And if it's no big deal. I'll literally ROFL.

You and everyone else are in my prayers. I'm not even there and from what i've heard and seen in photos, i'm scared as shiz

And don't worry sara, by the time it gets tere it'll be a low lvl 2, the worst that will happen is power outs and minor building damage.

I once just sat in the house while an F3 tornado passed by us.

It's gonna hit you as a category 2 hurricane at most. Don't expect anything else other than a power outage and lots of rain.

Phew! Thank you all! I feel much better now that the worse I could have is a power outage. :] Everyone made it seem like we were going to have floods and travel by boat for a week and that the world was ending.

Everyone knows the world doesn't end until next year! So you can strike that one off the list for a while :D

Why do people constantly say the world will end next year? It's annoying for one thing, and another thing nobody can prove anything about the world ending :\

Anyway, Sara, nobody can predict how bad weather is going to be. Just make sure to be prepared if anything happens and whatnot. I'm always prepared for when a tornado hits. I was at school and a tornado formed above our school lol. But we were prepared shockingly.

GAH im on the east coast too, in maryland. its supposed to be category 1 down here but its really dark out right now haha. we'll see, that earthquake was funny too. i was in school getting my schedule changed and all the ppl in theoffice were like tackling each other to get out. i walked out and was the last one inside haha it was so small.

either way im sure everythings gonna be fine, i doubt we'll even get a power outage sara, we'll see how it goes but im optimistic

Sanba! I was in Maryland in like july for Otakon! It's not dark here but not sunny either. Like strom dark... People in other towns that are like right next to my town are being evacuated and my mom and dad are all like. "We don't need to worry." And I'm sitting like -_-....

You live in New York as well? Like, the city or upstate? Anyway, it's not horrible as of now, we still have power and stuff. And I was watching the weather channel, in Virginia Beach, a newscaster was doing a report, and some guy ran by and flashed his johnny. AND THEY DIDN'T CENSOR IT! T__T

but yea theres an evacuation for some parts of my county, im supposed to go over a friends house for a ufc ppv at 8. the nwes says not to leave after 6. im gonna leave anyways teeee

Theres some evacuation but like the TV is like really exaggerating. Like it's the end of the world.

Well people are starting to evacuate because of the Hurricane.
I'm reading about it online and despite people saying it's being downgraded a category or w/e, it's still dangerous.

GUYS I HAVE POWER WOO~ So I'm back. :D

I lost power for like 48 hours and it was horrible. MY WHOLE TOWN LOST IT. So the whole town was pitch black no joke. And nw we have power. I think I was the first one to know lol~

Well The Hurricane hit me first I think, I am in Virginia lol. My power went out for 2 hours :p it was BORING I swear. but uhm, There was EarthQuake too apparently <.< didnt feel it
