Appearance:
Hotaru has a slender yet proportional build, with a height of 5'4" (162cm) and a weight that she refuses to disclose. Her black hair is long with a slight curl to it, the locks reaching down to her waist and she often will wear it up in a ponytail. Her eyes are a striking amber color, nearly gold. When out and about on days off from school, she can be seen wearing a closed white jacket with a navy shirt underneath, as well as a navy skirt and boots. This doubles as her own, unique uniform to signify that she is one of the Quincy. While in school or just leaving it though she will wear her uniform which consists mainly of a dark green plaid skirt and blazer.

Personality:
In general, Hotaru is a kind young woman who enjoys spending her time with others and helping out when needed. She is friendly to most that she meets unless she feels uncomfortable near them, which is rare. She also seems to be a bit naive at times, adding an air of innocence to her. When her bow is activated though, Hotaru's personality seems to become more serious than she normally is and she takes a great pride in what she's doing to protect other humans.

Story:
Hotaru was born and continues to live in Tokyo as the only child of her parents, who both were trained in the arts of the Quincy. Since the age of four she has been training with them to learn the ways and abilities of the Quincy as well as practicing whenever she gets a chance to develop her own abilities. Nowadays, she manages to balance killing hollows with trying to live a normal life. Hotaru is currently a third-year student at her local high school.

RP-Sample:
As the morning sun peered into the room, Hotaru lazily opened her eyes, automatically glancing toward her alarm clock. The time that greeted her though made her wake up almost instantly: 7:30am.

"This late already! I thought I set the alarm..."

In a flurry the girl got out of her bed to get dressed and prepared for the day ahead of her. It only took a few minutes before she was fully dressed and groomed well enough to get through the day. After grabbing her book bag, Hotaru rushed out of her room and down the stairs to make her way out to school as both of her parents were still enjoying their morning breakfast.

"I'm off now."

Before either of her parents could give any reply though, the door to their home had closed and Hotaru was gone for the day. After hearing the girl's call her mother glanced toward the door before looking at her husband.

"How long do you figure it'll take her to realize it's Sunday?"


Armor/Glove Information:

Name: Hanabi (Hotaru's Sanrei glove)
Bow Manifestation: Hotaru's bow takes the shape of a longbow. Though the primary color to it is white there is a navy pattern reminiscent of a starburst in the center, leading her to give the glove and bow its unique name.
Changes: Unless she were to remove the glove, the only real changes her appearance goes when she activates her bow is that her chest is covered by a navy muneate to protect her chest as she fires arrows. If she were to ever remove the glove though, her attire would change to one of a more traditional white Quincy garb, with the muneate spreading as an armor to cover her left shoulder as well.

Techniques: (12 Max. *Oversoul is when your bow is activated.)

Name: Kiku
State: Oversoul
Description: With this ability, Hotaru will fire one of her arrows high into the air. It will then proceed to split into dozens of arrows which then rain down on the area around her. This is a technique typically useful when surrounded by a number of hollows.
Downside: There could be some inaccuracy with the shots and it is kept to a twenty meter radius.

Name: Kageru
State: Oversoul
Description: Hotaru fires a light-charged arrow toward an area of the ground. It then bursts, casting a bright light at the targeted area to blind the enemies there.
Downside: Can be countered by darkness or if the target is shielded. Also, blinding is avoidable by remaining out of the three meter radius it affects.

Name: Bakuchiku
State: Oversoul
Description: Hotaru fires this light-charged, concentrated arrow at an enemy, it will burst on contact to create more arrows which are shot to the surrounding area in order to hit more opponents. This will continue with the arrows getting smaller as it goes on until they have wasted away. Bakuchiku requires her to concentrate before hand in order to determine the areas in which the arrows will scatter.
Downside: A messy sort of technique, it's one that has the potential for coming back at Hotaru if she's not careful. Also the arrows get easier to avoid the more they split before fizzling out.

That's one thing I was debating on xD I think I would have to be to avoid going permanently blind.
