Story:
Human life: As a human he went through the meaningless processes of school and growing up. When he graduated he tried many jobs here and there until he discovered his passion, crystals. He loved to make jewelry and polish crystals, fossiles and rocks. His parents and friends said he couldn't make a living from the work but he took no head to their words. He worked several jobs but he always enjoyed his crystal work the most. One day when he was polishing a crystal at the front desk a hooded man came in, the man looked tall, threatening and wore all black. The man walked briskly to the counter pulled a gun and threatened him. He tried to plead with the man but finally the hooded figure lost his patience and shot him...in the head, he died from that shot his life ended.
Plus life: As his spirit rose from his body he was instantly filled with regret that he had not done more in his life, but he then remembered that he had achieved one thing. He had made himself happy and that was the most important aspect, wasn't it? he wandered around the human world avoiding hollows for a year or so until a shinigami sent him off. When he arrived in the Rukongai he found it...primitive and boring but he soon discovered that the creation of jewelry was here aswell and so he continued to hone his skills. After atleast 20 years of working a shinigami walked into his store, a female shinigami she looked through his jewelry and eventually picked out several trinkets. However when she went to him to purchase them she stopped in shock as she realized something, she couldn't move. His reiatsu wouldn't let her past a certain point, she looked at him with questioning eyes and said"why do you do this when you have so much?".After this incident he began to notice how people acted like their bodies were heavier when they were around him so after several monthes he decided to go train...at the shinigami academy.
Shinigami life: His life in the academy was fairly uneventful, in fact nothing of interest happened. He found that he was exceedingly good at zanjutsu and that his reiatsu was higher then most individuals. He eventually found that he also liked to use kido, after graduating he was assigned to the 11th division due to his like of fighting and his reiatsu. He spent many years training with his sword and finally achieved shikai, after achieving shikai he trained with it in every free moment. He eventually gained complete mastery of hsi shikai so he went to the next stage, he started his long quest to bankai.(now if you will allow me to have bakai I will add some additional stuff about that).
RP Sample: (I know you prefer quality over quantity but I really got into the battler so *shrugs* sorry. You do not have to read the entire thing)Nalsoru walks out of the 11th division and stretches his arms and body in an effort to wake himself up"ugh how long did I sleep?" he isn't talking to anyone in particular and so gets no response"oh well, at least I woke up before 12"he then see's the sky which is beautiful and blue white fluffy clouds fly across the sky lazily. He smiles"great day"he then refocuses his attention to the matters at hand and so heads for the training grounds. "todays the day I achieve bankai" he thinks to himself while walking briskly trying to make up for lost time.After several minutes of jogging he reaches the open training grounds. Nalsoru smiles as he remembers all the time he has spent and how that time has helped him emensely to improve himself for the better.
After a long moment reminceing he snaps out of his temporary daze and takes a deep breath"now it is time to be serious" he thinks within his now blank head he sits down on the hard rough earthy ground and closes his eyes. He sits motionless for several moments and then he finds himself in his inner world. A bright cavern strewn with crystals of all colors and varieties, he opens his eyes and see's his long time training partner...his sword.
Kurisutaru(his sword spirit)is leaning against one of the many crystal stalagmites, his glitering crystal body almost completly invisible due to the amount of light refracting from the numerous crystals in the cave. Nalsoru smiles and stands up and Kurisutaru shrugs in a small motion of stretching, he then stands up straight and looks to his master "will you finally beat me this time?" asks kuri in an amused yet boredom filed tone. Nalsoru smiles wider "oh I intend to" he draws his sword from its sheath and readies himself by reading his blade and taking a defensive stance. Kuri chuckles and a sword appears in his hand "shall we?" he asks rolling his hand and executing a perfect bow to his master while still looking up at him through his crystal eyes. Nalsoru shunpo's in front of him and the 2 clash, their blades scrap against each other creating numerous sparks and yet not damaging each other in the least. After 3 seconds of this Kuri jumps back and appears behind Nalsoru he stabs at his masters stomach and nearly succeeds in wounding him, however Nalro moves aside just in time and bats away the blade he swings his blade up and then brings it around to Kuri's left side where he catches him off guard and slashes his side. The wound doesn't however keep Kuri from releasing "Chikyū kara no jōshō to sora,(Rise from the earth and into the sky,)" his blade changes forms and becomes a blue crystal blade, Kuri's normally blackish blue body turns into a briliant night blue. He slashes down at his masters shoulder hoping to end the battle. Nalro however is one step ahead of him and brings his sword up and blocks at a horizontal angle, he then releases " Chikyū kara no jōshō to sora, Kurisutaru Kussetsu-ni(Rise from the earth and into the sky, Crystal Refraction). His blade mirrors the earlier transformation of his sword spirit, he then activates a technique "Saisho no burēdo: Seichō(1st Blade: Growth). His blades crystal form grows and encases both of their blades in smooth crystal.
Kuri is caught off guard and tries to yank his blade from the crystal but is unable to do so, Nalro takes advantage and kicks his sword spirit square in the stomach sending him flying at a wall of jagged crystal. Nalro then extracts his blade from the crystal and shunpo's over his sword spirit where he then holds his blade agains his neck, he is smiling broadly "looks like I won". Kuri's body shatters and another forms from the crystal and grabs his sword "not quite my friend it will be more difficult then that". Nalro isn't surprised but he hits himself mentally for forgetting that Kurisutaru has that ability while in his own realm. Nalro swings his blade through the air and shouts "Dai ni burēdo: Kesshō-u(2nd Blade :Crystal Rain)" a barrage of crystals disconnect from his blade and turn to shards, they fly at Kuri. Kuri smiles "good reflexs but not enough" kuri then stops the crystal rain and makes the crystal shatter following it up with a technique "San-ban burēdo: Raito(3rd Blade: Light)"The crystal stalactites and mites around Nalro burst into light and blind him. In reaction Nalro wills his sword to form a shield of crsytals that surround him. Kuri's sword slams agains the wall of crystal and causes it to shatter, this action however notifies his master of his position. Nalro spins around and faces his sword spirit which he then slashes diagonally across the chest, starting at the shoulder and ending just above the hip. Kuri jolts in momentary pain and then retreats a bit to recover some. Kuri wipes red crystal fragments from his mouth that resemble blood "heh that was a smart move, your getting much better".
Nalro doesn't react but has regained his sight, he rushes Kuri while chanting "Shi burēdo: Kakuchō(4th Blade: Expansion). Nalro wills his sword to grow longer and he then slashes through the numerous crystal structures and at Kuri with his now elongated blade. Kuri is forced to quickly recover from his wound and ducks down only narrowly avoiding the blade. Nalro causes the blade to shatter and sends the fragments at Kuri "Dai ni burēdo: Kesshō-u(2nd Blade :Crystal Rain)". Kuri is unable to dodge so he blocks by causing his sword to grow into a shield, he is still pummeled with some of the fragments but sustains no major wounds. Nalro shunpo's behind him and stabs upwards at his preoccupied sword, his blade pierces straight through Kuri who jolts violently from the pain. "lemons you got me" Kuri's body turns into pure black crystal and the crystals in the cavern all turn blacka, light shines from everywhere but doesn't seem to reflect off the crystals at all "you have now achieved you ultimate goal...Bankai", Nalro smiles triumphantly and withdraws his blade from kuri's stomach. He sheathes it and bows "I have nejoyed are training and im sure this wont be the end of it, Kuri nods in agreement. Nalro is then suddenly within his body eh feels that his reiatsu ahs changed and grown he smiles "finally". He stands and walks back to his division.
Zanpakuto Information:
Zanpakuto Name: Kurisutaru Kussetsu-ni(Crystal Refraction)

Zanpakuto Spirit Description: A fierce looking man made completely from crystal. The crystal constantly glimmers with light that does not seem to be present anywhere near him. The crystal is a blackish blue. When in shikai the crystal turns a deep night sky blue and glimmers more, in bankai the crystal turns black and no light effects it.
Release Phrase: Chikyū kara no jōshō to sora,(Rise from the earth and into the sky,)
Shikai
Released Appearance: The sealed blade turns into dark blue crstal and the hilt disappears only to be replaced by 4 black crstals that float around the blade where the hilt once was.
Other Changes: His speed increases as well as the power of his kido.
Passive abilities
Name: Saisho no burēdo: Seichō(1st Blade: Growth)
Description: The crystal can form itself into different shapes but is limited to the actual blade's composition and the amount stored in the 6 crystals on it.
Downside: It can easily be avoided and has a chance of getting broken.
Name: Dai ni burēdo: Kesshō-u(2nd Blade :Crystal Rain).
Description: This ability allows Nalroso to swing his blade in any direction and unleash a barrage of sharp crstals at his opponent. When the crystals hit the opponent they can grow over their body and make it much harder to move. The crystals are much harder then Growth.
Downside: Can be dodged and broken.
Name: San-ban burēdo: Raito(3rd Blade: Light)
Description: Can fire off blasts of concentrated white reiatsu that can blind people like light and cut them like a blade.
Downside: Can be blocked.
Active abilities
Name: Shi burēdo: Kakuchō(4th Blade: Expansion)
Description: The blade itself can change its shape and gains more crystal to use in the shaping. Also the crystal becomes harder and much more dificult to break.
Downside: None.
Name: Itsutsu no burēdo: Kussetsu(5th Blade: Refraction)
Description: Can emit a constant gleam of light that can blind his opponent at close range, also the light can burn people. The light can be stored in crystals that he throws and when the crystals explode the light will shine out and blind the opponent
Downside: Countered by darkness.
Name: Roku no nai burēdo: Sōhatsu(6th Blade: Emergence)
Description: The light from the blade becomes unbarable to look at. The blade grows and becomes large but doesn't lose any speed, its cutting power goes up. The amount of crystal that can be shaped becomes even greater and the possibility of breaking it is even less. Also his speed and strength are boosted slightly.
Downside: This can only be used if he has used the other techniques at least once. It has a time limit and takes a lot of reiatsu.
Bankai
Bankai Name: Sukaijemushainingu Sakusei(Shining Sky Gem)
Release Phrase: Bankai.....Jibun ga kagayaku sora ni arawareru(Bankai...compose yourself and emerge into the shining sky)

Other Changes: A crystal formes in the center of Nalroso's forehead(like a 3rd eye). Crystal like armor forms over both shoulders and encases his arms and hands(a lot like the ice that encases toshiro's arm).Also crystal spikes form on his back down his spine.

Description: A lot like getsuga tensho this ability allows him to use his clear light refracting reiatsu to attack and defend. He uses it like getsuga tensho but when the reiatsu hits it hardens into crystal and attempts to encase its target.
Downside:
Name: Keisei: Kesshō kōzō(Formation: Crystal Structure)
Description: To use this ability he draws a plus sign in the air and then puts his sword into the spot that the two lines intersect. He then says the name of the technique, saying the name causes a huge star shaped crystal formation to form where he is pointing his sword. After he has said the name once he no longer has to say it to activate the tech.
Downside: Obvious when he will use it(most of the time). Fairly predictable.
Name: (Shatter)
Description: This causes designated crystal to shatter. The fragments of crystal will cut all they come into contact with it is very dificult to dodge.
Downside: Dodgeable, and obvious when he is going to use it.

Description: This is a multi staged technique, it is activated by the name being said but there are 6 other activation commands.The commands and their effects are as follows. This technique can only be executed after the use of Crystal Cavern.
(Growth): This causes the ground to become covered in crystal spikes. This boosts his speed on the ground.
(Crystal Rain): This causes the ceiling of the cave to be covered in crystal spikes. This boosts his shunpo and flying speed.
(Light): This causes the cave to becom filled with light. This allows him to create light from any point in space near him.
(Expansion): This causes the cave to become larger. This causes his armor/durability(resistance to blows) to become greator.
(Refraction): The light refracts from the crystals and becomes disorienting he can then use illusions to some extent. This causes his crystals to constantly refract light and he gains the ability to create illusions.
(Emergence): The entirety of the cave shatters and you are released back into your former battle field. However it is only an ploy to make you think all is well, for when you see Nalroso his swords form has changed completely and he now possesses all the abilities listed above (grown, crystal Rain, Light, and Refraction).
Downside: It takes a large toll on him and after the battle he is extremely weakened and vulnerable. He can only use this once every 2 days, he can force it twice but it has a intense effect on him and depending on the amount of reiatsu/stamina he has left can kill him.
Name: (Crystal Cavern: Final Refraction)
Description: Light shines from everywhere at once engulfing his opponent and himself in light, he then changes the angle at which the crystals refract light so as to create a magnifying glass effect. This makes the entire cavern burst into flames. It is near impossible to dodge due to the fact that you are trapped within the cave.
Downside: If used he will be forced to revert to shikai and wont be able to release till he has regained 2 hours woryth of reiatsu.

Description: To use this ability he draws a plus sign in the air and then puts his sword into the spot that the two lines intersect. He then says the name of the technique, saying the name causes a huge star shaped crystal formation to form where he is pointing his sword. After he has said the name once he no longer has to say it to activate the tech.
Downside: Obvious when he will use it(most of the time). Fairly predictable.

Description: This causes designated crystal to shatter. The fragments of crystal will cut all they come into contact with it is very dificult to dodge.
Downside: Dodgeable, and obvious when he is going to use it.

Name: (Shining Pillar: Six diamond gates)
Description: This is a multi staged technique, it is activated by the name being said but there are 6 other activation commands.The commands and their effects are as follows. This technique can only be executed after the use of Crystal Cavern.
(Growth): This causes the ground to become covered in crystal spikes. This boosts his speed on the ground.
(Crystal Rain): This causes the ceiling of the cave to be covered in crystal spikes. This boosts his shunpo and flying speed.
(Light): This causes the cave to becom filled with light. This allows him to create light from any point in space near him.
(Expansion): This causes the cave to become larger. This causes his armor/durability(resistance to blows) to become greator.
(Refraction): The light refracts from the crystals and becomes disorienting he can then use illusions to some extent. This causes his crystals to constantly refract light and he gains the ability to create illusions.
(Emergence): The entirety of the cave shatters and you are released back into your former battle field. However it is only an ploy to make you think all is well, for when you see Nalroso his swords form has changed completely and he now possesses all the abilities listed above (grown, crystal Rain, Light, and Refraction).
Downside: It takes a large toll on him and after the battle he is extremely weakened and vulnerable. He can only use this once every 2 days, he can force it twice but it has a intense effect on him and depending on the amount of reiatsu/stamina he has left can kill him.
Name: (Crystal Cavern: Final Refraction)
Description: Light shines from everywhere at once engulfing his opponent and himself in light, he then changes the angle at which the crystals refract light so as to create a magnifying glass effect. This makes the entire cavern burst into flames. It is near impossible to dodge due to the fact that you are trapped within the cave.
Downside: If used he will be forced to revert to shikai and wont be able to release till he has regained 2 hours woryth of reiatsu.
