8th Squad HQ

Where all Shinigami socialize, it's a fairly large space for anyone.

A soft knock echoed through the HQ of the 8th division.
"Hello?" Lavi asked from behind the door. He had a pie that he made for the captain to welcome her.

Nami looked at the door, and with a meek voice answered, "please.... Come in...."

Lavi gulped as he pushed open the door. He was wearing his black hakama and his white captains haori.
"Hello" He said softly, holding the pie still. "Welcome to the 8th"

Nami poked her head out from a pillar nearby, her eyes were in a puppy like stare and she bit her lower lip, "h....hello....um....good bye"she said hiding behind the pillar again.

Lavi looked shocked.
"Is it the pie?" He asked. He stood there looking at the pillar.

Nami poked her head out from the pillar again, "um.....I....."she said before poking her head back behind the pillar, a female soul reaper went up to Lavi, "so very sorry.... She's the shiest of the Soul Reaper Captains...it's not because of the pie...."she said before leaving.

Lavi smiled. He walked over to the pillar and set the pie down on the floor.
"No need to be shy around me" He said. "But, I tend to be shy as well around others"
He was standing behind the pillar.

Nami looked at the pie, but she didn't touch it, when she noticed that he was behind the pillar she set out and looked at him, "m....my name is Nami....."

*Aki walked through the door holding a chocolate cake*
"Hey Lavi seen the new captain? I brought her my special welcome cake!"

"Aki, I'm having a private talk with her" HE said rubbing the back of his head.
"Mrs. Nami, my name is Lavi" He said softly.

"Hmm i see" Aki slid the cake in her direction and walked out the door, "Have fun"
she skips out to the 3rd while taing out a lollipop

Nami looked at the cake and pie, she tilted her head, she looked at Lavi, "I...I see....what are these?"

"Its a pie from myself and a cake from Aki" He said. "She's a fun person to be around, she's like my sister"

"what is this pie and cake?"she asked confused on the concept of them, Nami in her human life had never seen or tasted cake at all.

"I can't really explain it well as I had to learn the basics for cooking a pie" He said. "But they taste really good"

"I see.... If there isn't anything else.... Then that will be good bye...."Nami said looking at Lavi if there was anything else he needed.

Lavi's face seemed to have gotten sad. He turned around as he started to walk out.
"I just thought it would be nice to make friends with you" He said, hiding his blush.

Nami looked at him with upturned eyebrows, "I'm sorry..... Nami doesn't know how to make friends..... Nami's always been alone....ever since in the human life..... Nami doesn't know what to do when she meets someone new....big brother always talks for Nami....always introduces people to her...."

"I used to be the same way" He said. "I was always alone in the human world, I don't remember much about it, but, I learned to open up and speak for myself"

Nami looked at him, "Nami could never do that......"

"Well, maybe you should learn then" He said as he crossed his arms.

"Congratulations on your promotion, Captain Nami." Toshiro said respectfully to Nami as he handed her a platter of fresh sushi and yakitori. Toshiro had just abruptly entered the room, but he noticed that Aki had brought a cake, and his Captain had brought a pie. Regardless, he didn't bring the subject up to her attention at all.

Lavi gave a look at Toshiro as he walked in. "I'm getting ready to go on a mission" He said. "Toshiro, hurry with here and come back to the 2nd for briefing" Lavi disappeared just after saying goodbye to Nami.

Nami looked at the sushi, "I like sushi.... Big brother would always give me some....."
