English literature help. Joseph Conrad and Albert Camus.? Empty English literature help. Joseph Conrad and Albert Camus.?

I'm not expecting a great answer; however, if there is one, it's an instant ten points. I've been gone 9 out of 10 days we've been discussing this topic in class due to an illness, hence this question on yahoo answers:

"Novelists (Camus and Conrad) employ differing means of introduction for their protagonist. Some 'linger in the wings' waiting for an entre, while others are present in action and/or voice from the outset. Using "The Stranger" by Albert Camus and Farewell to Arms by Ernest Hemingway, reflect upon the introduction of the protagonist, the techniques employed, the timing, and the rationale for their entrance. Does this entrance in some way help to define the character of the protagonist?

Any key points, helpful guidelines or an essay itself hahaha would be greatly appreciated. I expect to spend several hours doing this, so anyone who makes my efforts lessened or makes this whole process faster gets a ten points and a kudos. x]
