(OOC: I am glad you both had a great time! And being someone who has RPed a lot, I want to tell you this with all honesty; for first timers, that was one of the best conducts of battle I've seen. There are a lot of mistakes I notice in first timers, one being the inability to determine one's own level and drift in and out of god moding; another being the inability to use realistic attacks, which by that I mean, not just moves that can occur in a fantasy world, but ones that make no sense at all because they defy any type of logic. You guys did a great job handling yourselves on both of those issues, as well as others.
The only piece of advice I can offer you is posting. Sometimes you both would post twice before i could, which having Rped in places I have, i can work over that, so it's not that big of a deal. The only reason you want to avoid it is sometimes, especially in the case where it's 2 or more on 1, you can launch a variety of attacks for me to avoid all at once, and sometimes they will get over looked, because it's just to hard to realize who is doing what. What i do if you notice, is that no matter how long I had to wait, I never posted before both of you did, after my last post. That's how turn based Rping works. But like I said that's not a big deal in this case, really just future reference.
one other thing is adding previously undeveloped moves or abilities. Now in this battle, I really had no problem with it because i had studied your zanpakutos really well, so I knew that since they hadn't been used, they were limited. I was perfectly ok with you creating new things, because I wanted you to develop out your zanpakutos further, for the future. But keep in mind some people get upset about that; by that I mean, when a battle starts, abilities are locked until it is over. As for me, I'm glad you could expand your arsenal out and I hope I helped you develop something useful for future fights.
Now keep in mind, these points aren't negative criticism, they are just good things to know. I've very proud at how you handled yourselves. On another Bleach site, I used to run a boot camp to train rpers, and they way i did it was to assign participates a scenario, or if more advanced let them develop their own, and once they finished, read it over and give pointers, so basically that is what I'm doing here.
and Emma you are right to think about me turning the attack back on you; no matter how great something is, 90% of the time there is a counter, if you can think of it. The fact you two were thinking that far ahead speaks volumes. But, in this case, I would not have, solely because this was a battle i was going to lose anyway. I just wanted to see how you would write the story, so carried it on to see how you would handle the challenge, and you guys did great.
Now this isn't the end, for this situation or the whole of the RP. You saved yourself at the bottom, so you've escaped the flames, but you still must get away; never leave anything undone. As for the RP as a whole, you must decide where to go and what to do next. There is still more going on, however, my advice is not to just pick somewhere randomly; think about it as if you were really in this situation; you've been here in the 8th so long, you would have no idea what has happened elsewhere, even though I've been telling you out of character to keep you informed. Where you go next should be somewhere you think, in character, you should go to get more information. That is how you RP a great story!)
